Don't Walk blinks RED screaming; Staying Alive,
Life Ark two by two -- save/spend and start/end,
Better Safe Then Sorry -- Don't Drink and Drive,
Catch phrase that forewarn--protect and defend.
Seas calmness...falsely trains expert yachtsmen,
Stop and look both ways ere crossing the street,
Phrase tell us Why's/Wherefores at time tighten,
Calm ere the storm, wind turns, reverse at peak.
Lost/found, bad/good, hell/heaven, Satan/Christ,
End of the line -- Ground leastwise best, Sinners,
Broad spreads throughway to wickedness-Curses,
Throughfares the ways to righteousness-Winners,
Walk the tightrope-smart naught e'er run the talk,
Forethought count and define most tightrope walk.

I was reasonable and had no grudges for anybody.
I had the option to put the past nibbled quickly.
At the point when I meet my foe, I welcome him.
Praises are an auspicious remedy to the opposing team.
I'll be cheerful leastwise, for the man I scorn.
Whenever neared my heart with calm deference tone.

As a boy, I'd find my father
sitting in the pitch dark living room,
cigarette aglow, as I'd pass
from my bed to the bathroom.
Did the boy consider, at that late hour,
what plans or fears occupied the man?
Not at all, nor did the man share
with the passing boy what he thought.
Now he's gone. Back from that piss
and many another, I can well imagine
the mystery I must be to my son.
Has much changed but the date and where the man fought?
Most men, most times, abide in peace,
leastwise not always angry or afraid
they cannot save their children from the gas
or the abyss about which God lied.
Yet, when the boy dreams through the room
in the movement of his body there's a sleepiness
to make the man weep for himself, his father
and the boy who comes to the darkness unafraid.

Wild Flowers
We are just like wildflowers
Growing by the thorns
We are just like wildflowers
No one to call our own.
The dewdrops wet our faces
And the sunshine dries our souls
We cant go distant places
And see the world in whole.
Our beauty magnifies us
In the eyes of all who pass
But we are just some wildflowers
So we're left upon the grass.
No kiss to warm soft petals
No heart to fill with joy
We are just some wildflowers
Who brighten up the soil.
We always thank our Maker though
For being humble and not vain
Wildflowers leastwise unlike thorns
Cant cause a life of pain.
