lampoonery was rampant in the cemetery
Dracula’s ghouls were frighteningly scary
Halloween jokes were flying; satire was bad
witches scarce, these ghosts were deemed beyond mad
grim reaper appeared in the midst of this gloom
campfire singing commenced as evil did bloom
whistling and stomping was loud by the fire
ambiance of the night now turning devilishly dire
This poem may have some lampoonery
Because the character has a bit of buffoon-ary
A lanky jokester who loves to play
With mirth and joy you see right away
His honest guffaws gives me a chuckle
He is not a brute; never raises a knuckle
He pulls a few tricks, but none of them are mean
A good-natured Joe, sense of humor fit for a queen.
lanky lean lithe limber lollygagging Leo loved a little lampoonery
loving lasting laughter, leisurely learning lemonade lessons
lickety split, laundering little leagues of lithographs in lime
Her caricature full of lampoonery
Drawn in the light of fine moonery
Some of us laugh
At her autograph
Til Grandma said “Brilliant Cartoon-ery!”
