Where To Start With Forgiveness

I am wrapped in shame
Like the garden path lined by wilted roses
And their thorny sidekicks.
As I pluck in frustration,
Pulling prickly forgiveness from my dungarees
The garden fence shrinks into the dirt.
But I don’t want the neighbours to see my front lawn,
Not just yet.
At least until the winter is over
And the pruning is done.

What if I were to see shame
As though it were a lady beetle
Even during the peak cold?
She is forgiven for allowing her to express beauty in that present moment.
I am never angry at her for daintily dancing across my arm.
I am angry at myself for not pruning those roses sooner, though.

Little lady bug by my window how pretty you look
with your fragile wings and sweet tiny polka dots
Fate brought you to me like a great chinook
you landed on my heart, like a Cupid shot !

Ladybug of luck, bring me happiness if you may
If I place you on my finger, may I make a wish
will you grant me a gift before the end of day
will you grant me true love, on a silver dish

Lady fly of beauty where did you come from today
did you stop at every port or only by my house
lady beetle, messenger and harbinger of play
dance upon my palm a little longer while I douse

I've seen you around before but never at my door,
please send me a man that I surely can, adore ?

The Vestal and the Ladybug

There was a little ladybug in my house tonight
that means pleasing luck and prosperity hindsight
as her son Jesus riding a pack animal burro
Mary Ladybird our Lady spots joy and with sorrow
from her cloak in primal paintings of lineage rare
I wonder if the black spots were the color of her hair
the name means scarlet hence the color known red
I'm glad it was spotted before it crawled in our bed
they both have enemies but camouflage greatly well
immaculate conception is differed though with smell
their ancestry or bloodline represents them as the 7
for up to two years they travel with guardians 11:11
If you view this number frequently in time do watch
it's mine in field of study and birth chart is topnotch
the Lady Bird 1 or 8 depending on various statistics
and the Lady Beetle insect in accordance characteristics

Three Lady Beetles

Three lady beetles
put on a little show;
Whilst in the great outdoors
Effected me to whoa.

Spotted one on a leaf,
Handled her with care
Weightless though sheer greatness and
Black-spotted orange wear.

The miniature living charm
Circled round one two
Then up up and beyond
Vanishing to blue.

There I stood there gleeful
From what I did entail
Surprisingly another lady
Followed in her trail.

Oh what a blessing to receive
Left me wonderstruck
A gift from our almighty
Though some may call it luck.

Magically eased aching feet
Tensions did release
Bringing just a little joy
Wonders never cease.

Completed chores ,climbed the stairs
With memories I saw
Only to find with all in mind
Lady beetle at my door!

The Single Saddest Night

A teensy weensy lady beetle
A bitty, pint sized bug
Seduced by the tune of an old man’s fiddle
Had went inside and gotten stuck

Her little, feeble, fragile limbs
Supported her spotted frame
Until she found a place to swim
And was sucked down by the drain

A grieving clan of crickets and frogs
Chimed in for a farewell chorus
A saddened toad for every log
Deer in mourning, lined the forest

The biggest, blue-green butterfly
Placed flowers on the front porch steps
For miles and miles, the wolves did cry
A howl for every breath

The following morning was quite a sight
As everyone had overslept
Due to the single saddest night
When the whole wide world had wept

Premium MemberSweet Little Lady

Many insects creep upon this earth,
and hardly anyone refers to them as “nice”
or writes a poem reflecting on their worth!
Spiders sometimes make me jump as if they were small mice,
and how repulsed I feel to see cockroaches or lice!

How many cute soft cuddly insects can we find?
Worms are soft, but cuddly? I don’t think so!
Which bug both cute and sweet comes to your mind?
Well, Butterflies are lovely; fireflies have a nice soft glow.
But the one that comes to MY mind I bet you know!

She is a lady beetle, and when she lands on me,
I do not flinch or swat at her or gasp out “Ugh!”
People like to count her spots. A lucky one is she.
Protecting crops, she is well liked by farmers. What a bug!
If she were but my size, I’d give her a big hug.

Ode To the Ladybug

blood red diamond
tops tender green emeralds,
rose quartz and morganite
in a feast of polished deposit.

teardrop laden,
glistening against the stirring sun,
the world waits in dew.
crystal drops wink,
the blood diamond contemplates emerald tightrope,
slick escape.

with a bubble here,
a drop there,
Little Lady Beetle
attempts to dry its wings.

the flower that rests beneath
bends low,
and too shimmers
like a July sparkler.
