Crown The King

CROWN THE KING

Kendrick, king of kinetic kinesis,
Kaleidoscopic knowledge knits keenest.
Kindled by Compton's kinetic flame,
Keen verses vie for victory, acclaim.4

Knightly in kendo of kindred beats,
Keeps a killing calmness under knit sheets.
Kicks, knuckles, knockouts off his notes,
His knavish knacks, knight-errant floats.8

King of the craft, crowned in creative conquest,
Kendrick the keystone, like Kinta Kunte's quest.
The keeper of keys to kingdoms is K.Dot,
Kindhearted kinfolk, Kenny is kinetically hot.¹²

Kendrick's alter ego kits Kung-Fu Kenny,
Kdot's "6:16 in LA" & "Not Like Us" impressed many.
Kendrick's career-spanning series of the same name
Keeps Kung-Fu Kenny kitted-up in the rap game.¹6

Kaleidoscope king, keep kindling the art.
Crown King Kendrick, he who's carved apart.¹8

In Recession

We are hitting a recession
I’m in deepest depression
Prices increasing all the time
Even politicians turning to crime

We’re all going down the pan
brother sister woman and man
Still nice to see BP doing well
Making record profits so’s Shell

Still it’s not all doom and gloom
if you’re unable to heat a room
Skip a few meals pay the rent
When you’re homeless buy a tent

Mortgage rates up, pay’s down
Catch a bus and head for town
Get a dog and an empty can
Kitted out to beg, now that’s a plan!

Tv Adverts

Is it just me

Or do you as well

Watch the commercials on T.V

And wonder exactly what on earth
it is they are actually trying to sell

Or are you like me somehow think
we have slipped into some kind of
alternate universe

Because I am sure I just seen the new
Lottery advert

And it was about a village green cricket
match with the team dressed in traditional
Whites

Then the Presenter comes on ready to
bat kitted out from top to toe in Red ,

Helmet , Bat , Pads , Glove's the full monty

Now as tenuous links and connections go
this is the best and only idea I could come
up with

Maybe at the initial meeting to thrash
out some concepts and ideas

The leader of the brain's trust was swinging
a bat around and accidentally hit everyone
in the head including himself

Causing mass amnesia and concussion

And when they all eventually came too
they forgot what product they were
supposed to be selling in the 1st place

And somehow thought it was a brilliant
fantastical idea

He came beating a path
That devolves everything
That is norm

Strangely kitted
Strangling patterns
Dawning and hatching
Stirring the hope
Of the unmasked kind

Erasing all dreads
Settling to rest
All that was held aloof

The Wedding of the Century

the groom,
the sun, deified the time
and denied the dark its peak,
shimmering in his faded orange apparel
his eyes brilliantly blazing, brazen and bold
found a gazing spot
at the heart of the brown sea
and whispered with quivering lover's lips
"come up to me and taste of my love"

the bride,
the sea,deified space
with wrapper of blue wound round her waist
flirty, flitty and fidgety
her body danced with seductive rhtym
she spread sprawlingly on the spaceles sandbed
a bride expectant of a reluctant groom
burning, she bellowed from deep below
"come down and prove yourself a worthy lover"

the priest,
gravity, kitted in a monk's garb
ritually performed the nuptial rites
Toyin-blakkie was the bride's lone maid
Abdulkarim and I, the twosome groom's men

Hosted by the surf and sand of Kuramo shores
the three for the deaprture of one
feasted on a garnished gargatuan fish
there the sun walked the aisle by his aquaticbride
