WE ARE ALL UNIQUE
IN OUR OWN WAY
JUST BE YOURSELF
AND ENJOY TODAY!
It's not enough to try to be,
What others think you ought-a be,
Because no matter how you try,
You're never really gonna be.
All you can do is try to be,
What inately you should be.
It is as it is, you are as you are,
It's all you're ever gonna be.
So be the best that you can be,
As God has meant for you to be.
Be the best You you can be,
'Cause no one else will ever be.
We all have our own path to walk,
We all have our own destiny.
Our experiences in life shape us
They make us who we are meant to be.
It's good that we're all different
That we all come in different flavors.
So, celebrate your own uniqueness
It makes you something to savor.
Just be yourself.
She wanted to fit in, so she wore dreadlocks.
They looked silly on her.
People shunned her.
She tried shaving her head.
They brought cards and money, thinking she had cancer.
Went away angry when they learned she did not.
“Why don’t you try being yourself?” her mother suggested.
She did not think that would work because she did not like herself.
She tried dancing and singing, and put herself into contests.
Her dancing was bad, but her singing even worse. She alienated more people.
“You are trying too hard, “her father told her. “Just be yourself.”
That would not work, she thought, so she kept trying and trying.
She ran up to people and demanded they be her friends.
They began to cross the street when they saw her coming.
Verifying her worst suspicions. They did not like her
as much as she did not like herself.
THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE
IN THIS WORLD TODAY,
AND EACH OF YOU ARE SPECIAL
IN VERY DIFFERENT WAYS.
EVERYONE ONE IS GIVEN A GIFT
TO USE AS GOD COMMANDS,
AND ITS UP TO YOU TO USE IT
HOW YOU MEET THAT GREAT DEMAND.
EVERYONE OF YOU IS VERY UNIQUE
AND SPECIAL IN GODS EYES,
EVERYONE IS GIVEN LAUGHTER
TEARS AND MANY JOYS.
YOUR GIFT MAY BE DIFFERENT IN LIFE
THEN THE ONE THATS GIVEN TO ME,
BUT ALL GREAT GIFTS COME FROM GOD
TO BE USE THEM WITH DIGNITY.
JUST DO YOUR BEST IN ALL YOU DO
DONT TRY SO HARD TO BE,
JUST BE YOURSELF IN IN EVERYTHING
FOR YOU ARE SPECIAL,CANT YOU SEE
