Crime never pays, sooner or later the long arm of the law will reach you.
Quote by poet.
Sergeant Tim Wheeler’s shift was nearing the end, it had been a long day.
He put his coat on, and then the phone rang, it's all I need, Tim thought.
He answered and a concerned voice said," Sam Jones has been shot”.
Sam ran the jewellers store in Whitehorse and Tim hurried over to his store.
A crowd had now gathered, and the townsfolk were stood around in shock.
Sam was conscious but had a gunshot wound to his side, Doc Jones was treating him, he gave Tim a description of the thief, then an ambulance arrived and took him away to hospital, from Sam's description Tim knew it was an American who'd been hanging around town and chances were he'd head for Alaska and once over the border he'd get away with his crime, Tim headed West and drove for about ten miles then spotted a parked car, smoke was belching out from under the hood; Tim drew his gun; a voice said "Drop it",but Tim was too quick and shot the thief in the arm, saying “You can rest in jail, right now you’re under arrest”.
Rare is valuable.
But rare and lovely?
For which pricelessness, long sought
As dazzles, sparkly
Beyond fortunate
Jewellers, more them
Who, from up close, stare into
Such an eyed gem.
Wayward wind whistles while it weaves
A magical maze of colours
Through rustling red rampaging leaves,
Gems not found in all jewellers,
Down they dance on startled strollers;
Falling freely in the fast breeze,
Garnet gold do a pirouette,
Bare branches stick out in tall trees,
Creating silent silhouette,
Telling it's time for Fall roulette.

For Francine Roberts' "Autumn" poetry contest
Some suffering does not aspire to the Buddha’s kind
When the pound shop closes which is an ominous sign
Thanks God the jewellers continue to open their doors
Angry unwashed masses are difficult enough to restrain
But the bored wealthy masters might spark a revolution
If their well-deserved tastes were deprived of some spark
Class divide remains the beautiful face of glitzy diversity
Yet the danger is looming right behind a deviant facade
The great leveller has arrived in waves of moribund joy
Corona the crown of infection threatens the status quo
Does not discriminate too much about measures of wealth
Still when cast in a grave marble shines brighter than wood

Love seems to be loved most of all
it's a subject that's always number one
people turn to it so very easily
one's affections capture it bar none
There seems to be a bias always
when one mentions it's meaning
ladies especially love all it's tones
brightens their faces to be gleaning
The song says 'we all need love'
it makes the world go around
jewellers would be poorer without it
without it more trees would be found
But there's a lack of real true love
one that would show unselfishness
putting the other first before self
brings true samaritan full of goodness
So show love in it's deepest meaning
display it high and with capital L
be really biased round your bend
making others wish to ring your bell!
They are most precious gems you can possess
They cannot be brought in any jewellers shop
They are more valuable than platinum
They are more rare than flawless D grade diamonds
They shine in your life like 18 carat gold
They are unique
They are special
They are priceless
They are …
True friends
