Pity all of those rest home fellows
Over time all their hunger mellows
Without their dentures in
All their meals will begin
Sipping their soup and slurping Jellos

Shadows
Two silhouettes walk along the surf, sharing thoughts without words.
Feeling cold sand between their toes, as sounds of sweet serenity quiet squalling birds..
Reaching hands, twine fingers meant to touch.
As love surges the eyes engage with trust.
How can this feeling exist so immense with consuming emotions?
No answers are given, it’s Gods secret potion.
The roaring of waves softens the gamble.
This flame can melt the sweetest candle.
Denial wants to push the wrong, while the heart wants to sing a song.
All you hear is don’t let go.
Why now, When not allowed to grow .
Heat from the walk warms the body and jellos the mind.
Smiles say it all, life is just a trickle of time.
Shadows of two moving towards the horizon red.
Love of hearts, no words were said..L.

Rainbow gravy on mashed potatoes
Invented by angel only knows.
It’s on my plate, and it truly glows.
Formed into trees, and two distinct toes.
Cousin loved it, she ate her’s and Joe’s.
I pass my plate over, and eat my jellos.
Rainbow gravy on mashed potatoes.
Where is the cook? Which one of you knows?
How did he make this gravy that incredibly glows?
Is that his homemade chocolate syrup that aptly flows?
And who added on my tray this gorgeous rose?
I will never again eat gravy without rainbows.

REASONS TO THROW THINGS OUT OF THE WINDOW
Window-launch in summer is best, but whatever the season,
Winter, fall, or spring, the main reason
Is because were about two hundred feet up, I reckon -
So the downflight would be several seconds
And the end would always be spectacular -
Like for a balloon filled with water.
Floating balloons without water would also be marvelous,
As would dropped ice-creams and jellos.
Cold water from a bucket would become rain-droppy,
And flower petals to cover the ground, like rose and poppy.
Out goes my parrot - it’s the highest level he’ll ever get on;
And I’ll give the neighbour’s cat a free flying lesson.
Mustn’t forget whistles, which make music on the way down,
Or rubber balls to bounce all over the ground.
But the most spectacular display of all
In the realm of window-launch free-fall
Is burning sofas, like I once saw while walking (actually, running)
Through a poorer neighbourhood in East Lansing.
