Median and Eucledian

Median and Eucledian

Sometimes when I will start to swerve;
Can avoid car when going around a curve;
There also is a mode, mean and a median
And curves in geometry they call Euclidian.

When I had added much more starch
I eventually straightened out the arch
And then I exhibited a triumphant mode
When I did understand each decimal code.

What if I brought together and integrated,
Would the opposing view be segregated?
To build myself up did tare them all down;
Assigned each one to a certain part of town.

If I will study more and myself do educate
Brilliance with my mind will begin to mate;
Was verb either transitive or intransitive,
You used to explain way you would live.

Unconsciously Conscious Thoughts

Up to my neck in forty winks,
Yet not enough sleep

Heavy blinks appear to weep
With blood-red tears,
As the solace of years

That pass against
One who is rather crass

No longer upper, middle, or lower classes,
Just the chosen few, & then the masses

Sewage trickles down,
Surrounds us & soaks the ground

Those simple thoughts,
Can make my head pound

Until i have found the inner peace
Within,
Relaxing in the mood to lounge
Verb-ally Intransitive

The last part of the stanza
Felt off, yet, felt right
To type, but, literature is a bonanza

Rich with words & letters
Don't be afraid to sound absurd,
Practice makes better
Never at the end of my tether

Incineration of Love God Madan Cupid 18

Incineration of Love God Madan (Cupid) 18
Originally written in Hindi by my late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor
1899 to 1994. The work was written in Hindi somewhere around 1965-70.

Editing and English version by Ravindra K Kapoor.

Hindi Title  ‘Madan Dahan’ 18

Compassion degraded by passion,
Would make him weak,
And weakness would make him intransitive,
Making him brute and selfish.

That robs the sense of duty,
Creates only sensual desires,
Which bring total destruction,
Making him self-destructive.

Thus under his influence,
Man would acquire beast form,
And would destroy human glory,
Through exploitation of the weak.
