Interruptions
(interrupt someone who's talking)
West would say; if I
may stop you dead in your tracks
East would say; if I
may slice you with some honey
criminal, subliminal

The owls were the last to arrive to the oak.
Selfish ebony ravens refused to scoot over.
Are all ravens the same then? I asked the storyteller.
She is my niece, and I discovered does not like interruptions.
She nodded her head. All of them, she said firmly. Exactly alike.
So none of them have minds of their own? She glared at me.
Turned her back and continued to tell her tale. Witches flew in from the north.
All of them? I asked. Every single one came from the same direction?
She stomped off.
I could hear her offer to tell a story to her daddy.
They will get along famously.
They both like to generalize all ghosts, all owls, all witches.

Let me dial another phone
I know I am not the one alone
Well gone
On a plain of love bursting Jones
Hold on
the voice seems so different and my ear is so close
No this is not the person I thought this would be
Carrying me
Sustain stains wiped off carpet feet
Seat
Taken does not fit me
Size seized severely
Interrupting me truth had to rise above insecurity
Line up faces intimating me
never will be
Original made a copy and copy came out looking the finest
Test taking high score no regret
Best frame
Different name
Hold on too long game
Replacement puts replace faces to shame
Laughter smile smoked out the finest gear
Dressed head to toe hold on the tone is burning my ear

Opportunities Deluded with Interruptions
Interruption corruption can happen in an email
And another poem Horn has sent without fail
When others already you were trying to read
Here comes Horn poem planting a new seed.
Life of Priest proved to be difficult and hard
Many things trying to keeping you off guard
Church after ten years needs to be painted
And Horn as a poet, he wants to be sainted.
Last night new family had not seen before
Coming in as they entered our front door
And without trying to create a commotion
Gave him copy of Lenten Love and Devotion.
There is still something left for me to do
Read Isaiah Fifty Eight until I am through
Father Dave's message is cloudy and gray
Will help me understand what he had to say.
