On May 11th, Hawaii did declare,
The pandemic's end, no longer a scare.
Federal word, the last state to know,
Preparing for changes in the vaccine flow.
Medicaid shifts, seniors in plight,
September 24th, the end in sight.
In early June, insurers did call,
Reassessing coverages, answers to stall.
July brought news, uncertain and grim,
Doctors from Honolulu, prospects dim.
August 13th, a reevaluation came,
Insurance updates, changes to name.
September 4th, last talks in the air,
Doctors and insurers, a tangled affair.
Neighbors noticed a front lanai void,
Paramedics broke in, stained glass destroyed.
September 30th, Hilo Hospital's care,
Unconscious, admitted, a fate to bear.
Rehabilitating now, seeking what's just,
Attorney in tow, a lawsuit a must.
In court, on the prosecutor's side,
Facing defenses, where Luigi will bide.
From issue to hope, a journey so grand,
Manus, Festus, Infestus – a fight at hand.

It's party time, you drank beer then wine
You’re over the limit but think you’ll drive fine
Can’t steer in a straight line, hit a Ferrari
The policemen arrive, they’re far from happy
Should have used a taxi or jumped on a bus
But you’re at the cop shop, there’s lots to discuss
Breathalyser is sky high and you turn quite pallid
When learning your car insurance may be invalid
But its Christmas time you drank beer and wine
You’ll be summoned to court and get a hefty fine
Get banned from driving, and may lose your job
Such a pity you put any booze down your gob
N B I understand that some Insurers have a drink drive clause in their policy and pay out for damage to a third party but not to the drivers car

BLEEDIN RADIATOR!
Snow falling caused our flight delay
We arrived home from holiday
Radiator’s been leaking
A new carpet I’m seeking
I’m hoping insurers will pay!
2/1/19
Unfortunately it’s a true story ... after a fabulous holiday in Cyprus we had a 6 hour delay at the airport, our flight plan then had to be re routed to Milan so they could change crew and de ice the plane. When we eventually arrived in the UK we had 2 /12 hours sleep in the hotel before we had to be up for our flight back home. Got home and found a radiator has been leaking and had to spend 3 hours removing a sodden moldy carpet. Despite all the drama I was still able to write with humour and posted my Regina limerick which, from all the comments, has made many people smile!
