Money is been chased
Deals with the devil are made
Bribes are paid
Greedy life pays
No more love to give
No more ten commandments to read
Quick route to wealth
Slow Poison to one's health
Life insurances are now their priorities
One death is a key to their policies
No degree is of need
No Certificate is of keen
Only few attend churches
The majority chose rituals
He has taken over
Everyone needs a Range Rover
Crime rules every street of the town
Criminals are the ones ruling the crowd
They just take as much as they want
And leave the rest with no place to hide
This is not the life we hoped for
Everything is just so wrong
Please help us god

She had elegance and poise...
on the surface at least.
A deceptive calm;
swanlike.
Beneath,
a desperate struggle
against undercurrents
known only to her
and others in the same water.
She wasn’t sure if the water
was too hot
or too cold.
Neither did she see the shore;
she couldn’t see it...
yet she seemed, to her friends,
to walk there
with an air of confidence;
pristine in appearance.
To face the outside world
she boiled pans
to wash
her clothes
by hand.
To hide from her inner world
she wrote
poetry
and she read,
but never the mail;
those words would crumble
her fragile veneer.
Still, unopened,
they remained a malignant threat,
silently growing.
She had paid
hard earned money;
planned
for times such as these.
Insurances; protection plans;
vaccinations
against the virus of poverty,
but she hadn’t planned
on being trapped
by the so-called
welfare state.
There was never any immunity.

Standing alone
On that cliff top
In the pouring rain
Alone with my thoughts
Watching the sea
Jump up at me
Its waving hands
Seeming to grasp for me
I walk and lean over the edge
Only for the hands to grow longer
Yearning
Calling for me
And as I step away
A mournful howl
And cries of how much better it would be
If I were dead
No cares no worries
No friends no pain
Everyone peaceful
Resting alone
And I stop and turn
Run fast towards the edge
and the mournful calls
Turn into gleeful yells
Encouraging me
To fly
Spread out my wings and fly
Insurances of you can do it
And I do it
I fly away
Away forever and the dark swallows me
The grasping hands now hold me down
I can see the light
The day and the sun shines
Now that I’m gone it shines
Brighter that any other day
And I smile in myself
No longer struggling
Being cradled in the arms of the sea
Held under and carried away
Knowing I’ve left home
A happier place.
Note: I wrote this a very long time ago now...
