On the third day of February I started my collection
In my own little room are silhouettes of a dream.
A dream that commenced from a simple attraction
A simple acquaintance that lasted years to stream.
In each day of every month that passed by
I collected over eight thousand images of my dream.
It is an animated dream, a living dream
That kept me alive for so long as years came by.
A dream that brought so much joy and enthusiasm
A dream that became a reality without sarcasm.
A dream that gave birth to my worth
To become an instrumentalist, molded and set forth.
From the very same room where I kept myself dreamy
To the world I imparted peace and harmony
Reminding it's only beauty that the world possesses
All good and all inspiring our world deserves and confesses.
After twenty-two years of silence and devotion
My small room is now open to set my dream untied.
As much as I can keep my clear intention
Unveiling my paintings and sculptures as my first love...
is now free and unified.
I called my little room "Natalia"...
A room I never had in my life
But in my dreams
She is all mine!

Claude Russell Bridges — Leon Russell (1942-2016)
One of Oklahoma’s finest
One of America’s finest
His voice the perfect blend of annoying
nasal-rub, blues-massage, sandpaper over soul
and bleeding-emotion-on-steroids
As Hank Wilson he simply put an exclamation point
on “America’s music” — Country
Music to hate
Music to love
either way
music
indisputably raw
Tradition says, “Rest in Peace”
I say, “Blow their minds, wherever you are.”
