Premium Member The light of the past

Though I’ve always known that the light of the past was something
recognized, it’s only now I see
that the light of the past is the light of dreams: the light
in which things happen forever, where every laugh
retains the dew of a universe caught at dawn,
where the pride of the wounded heart renews its song
in an endless bloom of instants, and where the loves
we knew then inexhaustibly still live.

Nigeria My Motherland

Nigeria our great and beloved motherland,
where multitudes of tribes unitedly stand.
Our land of hope by two rivers divided,
with lush vegetation by nature provided.

Nigeria our home of people resilient.
A land of great icons in works diligent.
We hail thee our great and revered black nation,
our land of human dignity and redemption.

God arise and take your place as sovereign Lord.
Enthrone Thyself in Nigeria's seat of power.
Make her edicts and laws Thy eternal word.
Let justice prevail in her courts by the hour.

Our flag will peace and industry symbolize,
whilst our history will always immortalize
the deeds and sacrifices of our heroes past.
Help us Lord to serve our beloved land with zest.

Nigeria the blessed will pervasive peace know,
even when the threats of tumults seem to flow.
Her crops and yields will neighbouring countries nourish,
from her fields that inexhaustibly flourish.

Premium Member Unbreakable People

Their will, it could bend like a horseshoe
Up or down; forcefully pulled at both ends
But it can't be snapped or severed in two

Their spirit, a mighty axe
Wielded with great force
Can't split it in half like firewood

Their fortitude, a sledgehammer
Can't reduce it to shards of glass
It would bounce off upon impact

Their hopes, misfortune could whip it
Against a bark of a tree in rapid succession
Still, it would remain sturdy, unbroken

Their faith in God, it could drop to Earth
From mountain high, land with a thud
And still be perfectly intact

The devil tries inexhaustibly
To test it, to break it, and fails
Spectacularly every time

Ameliorate Thy Self

As the frailty of life tends to emerge,
Cutting this fabric of gold which emcompasses truth.
Selling at a loss. Depletion of reserve while negativity splurge.
Ever deplored and snivelled. Never a sleuth.

Gaze upon the ripples as if tidal waves in oceans.
While always in wonder of the disturbing, disrupting drops.
Face upon in current. A simple harmonic motion.
No matter a grain, a pebble, or a rock.

WHY! So wasteful in dissonance. The strife of hopeful waste.
Charge straight ahead of this vile and depressing void to step in the light.
Move away from this sempiternal gloom. Take it with haste.
For now is the only moment Lonely is alone, in fright.

Love Everything! Everywhere! Everytime! Everyone!
Open your soul to receive what is and give inexhaustibly.
Soon, the unknown dark void will inevitably ensue our run.
Be contented because life itself is your responsibility.

Premium Member Blessing the Man of God

The raging waters stay calm
from the stretching forth of your hands
the words of your mouth
move the hand of God to action

You’ve been lifted up so high
to manifest His power among men
your pulpit, cuts across the hearts
of men from many nations

Thus, God’ll continue to shade you
with his divine protection
until the rains of your existence
cover the fields of your cultivation
and the jury of heaven
stands in complete attestation to your fulfillment

You’d be filled inexhaustibly with the power
of the knowledge and understanding of His word
richly blessing you with substance and good health
and your anointing; the foam to which nations will find comfort.
