Masters of life

You're looking right past me
I know it's almost time for freedom
I'll be walking through that door
Leaving this house behind me
I'm no longer beautiful to you
I no longer suit your story
I'm a child without a family
I'm a tumbleweed in the world
All these object lessons
Have taught me over many moons
No child should go through this
No child should grow up so soon
But the focus and determination
Has made me stronger than my peers
I understand the importance of honesty
I know truth makes for way less tears
Because deception is a smokescreen
It hides agendas and shallow waters
But the liars and the hurters
Reveal themselves through eyes and souls
Not everyone's childhood is a blessing
Some children become masters of life when really young
But the broken dreams and missing kisses
Teach us about being leaders with kindness and courage

In life,
We live as we smile and cry,
Meet various shy and spy people,
Different hurdles in puddles we try.
In life,
We love, kiss, disguise and lastly break up.
As some men marry, pray and divorce to flop,
Humans know nothing is unending, with hope.
In life,
There’s long life, lure and pleasure after death.
Forgive hurters who hurt and apologize at hearth.
For giving no forgiveness impedes mirth.
