A Eunuch On Train

A Eunuch(kinner)On Train

A beautiful lady in saree,

sat beside, in a hurry.

In a local train,
to reach ‘Howrah’ in rain .
Dressed in vibrant,
female in appearance.
Suddenly,
she clapped her fingers apart,
on her seat,
When asked to push a bit.
She misunderstood,
A manly voice emerged.
“Why should I stand” she budged.
Unstoppable she burst.
“Why are we only cursed?”
“We are the third gender in position.
Male, female and kinner from generation.

For a moment, i sat there numb.
Without uttering , like a dumb.
I could read her insecure mind a lot.
“Aren’t they humans?” I thought.
“Where are they at fault ?”
By default a twist in their life arrives.
Dismissed they are to be a wife,
nor husband by chance.
“How do their living enhance?”
No gradation, opportunities,nor education.
They earn their living in hesitation.
Discarded at every place.
Let’s stop this gender race in grace.

Dawn At Howrah Bridge

Few minutes were left, for the Sun to rise;
And the passing night was ready for its demise.
I stood on the Bridge, and looking at the sky, -
Having woken, the birds were all set to fly.

Ah!what a pleasant feeling I had at that moment,
It seemed that the nature had worn a new garment.
The gentle breeze flowing over the calm river;
Perhaps I hadn't felt it ever.

Little faces of the ragged children with torn clothes,
And which really hurt, the pallor of helpless mother;
No one can realize her agony better,
Than the river, in which their misery floats.

Then, the time of sunrise came,
And wished to capture the view in a frame;
Ah!,then I was also enjoying the pleasure of breeze,
When the first ray of the Sun touched the Howrah Bridge.

City of Joy,Kolkata,6 Pm

Gradually she changes her dress
at the end of this winter day
like a beautiful stage actress
preparing herself for a play.

At the end of this winter day
City of Joy as she is called
preparing herself for a play
diamond petals slowly unfurled.

City of Joy as she is called
wearing her glittering ornaments
diamond petals slowly unfurled
blooming like a rose God sent.

Wearing her glittering ornaments
anklet to bracelet of lights
blooming like a rose God sent
waiting for visitors of night.

Anklet to bracelet of lights
Howrah Bridge is her necklace
waiting for visitors of night
checks her face on the Ganges.

Howrah Bridge is her necklace
like a beautiful stage actress
checks her face on the Ganges
gradually she changes her dress.
