Blue, Green, Red and yellow
Make the colors of a rainbow
But this can only be seen
After the rain goes
So for now there’s only lightning bolts and rainstorms
Stone grey clouds cover the skies
Salty tears blur my eyes
As crackling of thunder muffle my cries
As I dwell in hurt
The rain becomes bullets, piercing the earth
My blessing and curse
So for answers I search
In order to rebuild, I had to destruct
So everything that ever was
Floats away within this flood
Past memories that hunt me
Non-believers who taunt me
Had to be drowned out, before they could stunt me
So as my last tear dries
The earth is revived
And from behind the clouds, the sun comes out to shine
At last I can show my true colors
Blue, green, red, yellow, and all the others
So don’t ask where my pain goes
Just look for me, rainbows
Need a Little Rain-By Michelle Artiaga
.by Michelle Artiaga on Thursday, 02 June 2011 at 11:20. So you say youre
leaving now,
Don't know where but far.
Thinking all life has passed you by.
You want to hide..
Like the waves upon the shore,
Seasons come and go.
Lovers leave you standing in the snow,
And you can't stop the rain from falling down.
Let the tear drops fall my friend because,
Sometimes, we need a little rain..
Need a little rain to see the sun.
Let the rain fall down upon your face,
Wash away the sadness, healing all the pain.
Leave the past behind you, let the suffering fall away. And feel the rain
.
When the rain shall come
When the new day shall be
You and I will rejoice
For the rain will wash away
The painful seasons of tyranny
For the new day shall bring
A dawn of a new hope
The hope to continue living
Long days of waiting for rain
Have never been easy at all
But when the rain shall come
The drought shall run to hide
As a gush of rain water
Quenches the dilapidated dusty ground
And you and I shall
Drink the water of the rain
As we curse the dying dust
Of the dead drought,
When the rain shall come
Oh, the falling rain.
What a welcomed sound.
To ease the pain,
and soften the hard thirsty ground.
A prayer answered, to save
us from this drought.
To quite our blatant doubt.
So rain please fall down.
Kiss my little piece of ground.
Rain on my roof top,
please fall softly upon
my weak and tired crop.
Fill up the pond for my cows,
and soften the earth for my plows.
I know hard times can't last
forever, but I sure could use
the rain to make it through
the endeavor.
What a sigh of relief, to hear
the rain bringing back life.
To wash away the
harsh sun and it's strife.
Lord, I work the land,
to feed my family.
You know between you and me,
this is not for gain.
But I do need this rain.

Words fell like rain over the mountain
As nature prepared for her day of work
The first drops fell on the mountain's eyes
Like glistening diamonds of treasured surprise
The rain fell over the mountain's side
And embraced with trickling arms to guide
The rain fell into the mountain canyon
And formed a river of deep abandon
Swirling with airy, white foam peaks
Driven by currents of deep-swept mystique
That flowed to the meadow and flowered its plain
As if my mind were the mountain
And your words were the rain.
Like the rain that pours in the arid backlands,
making blossom the most shriveled of branches
I will work my days!
I will cultivate friendships
And, with all willpower,
I will perpetuate peace!
I will defend nature!
I will delight my eyes with such beauty.
And, by greater force,
I will compose from the primest melody
Charms of sympathy.
I will profuse embraces,
I will cheer up souls.
I will walk together.
And even when I’m out of things to say,
I will bid cheers to silence!
And who knows, maybe one day,
Diligent,
And seeing life as celebration,
I will be rain pouring in aridness!
White crisp innocence unspoilt by the footsteps of time
The fall of rain awash with tears of rhyme
Poetically my life performed upon the stage of life
White crisp innocence unspoilt by the footsteps of time
Each act revealing more of the secret self
The path I walked calls for you to follow
White crisp innocence unspoilt by the footsteps of time
The fall of rain awash with tears of rhyme
