an owl's silhouette
circled by an orange moon
two bats in the glow

Hooting owl sits on a tree branch
Expecting a small lunch
Meal runs quickly across the ground
He swoops down to get it
Attacks like a stealthy being
Quiet as a calm breeze
Surprise works best for this hunter
Small game is his real treat
Then later atop the high branch
His belly full he hoots
A pleasant sound for all to hear
He compliments the night

The great hooting owl
Upon the branches tonight
Just carrying on
Letting those beneath know that
Halloween is here to stay

Owl upon a tree
Just hooting along tonight
Under a full moon
It delights in the fear made
From what’s created within

Villa overgrown with lingering green ivy
Bushy palmtrees swaying in the breeze
Cream and Salmon tones of the house
Olive groves silhuetted on the hillside
Harbour Yacht Club view of lighthouse
Speedboat Island beach fishing coffee
Lazing in the hammock sipping iced tea
Afternoon sunshine at pools blue edge
Tawny orange pastel red and soft purple
Barefoot bathrobe flipping omlette toast
Stretch on tiptoes lightly kiss the cheeks
Porcelin saucers overflowing with olives
Turned the pillow on the cool side smiled
Pen napkin Ink bleeds into the soft tissue
Magnificent bread oven like a giant beehive
