How fortunate that I, correctly versed,
knew hand-grenades are passive. At their worst,
they maim and kill. But this is interspersed
with usefulness: defenders have no thirst
for carnage. Since the enemy had first
used violence, they had to be dispersed.
It fell to me. How often I’d rehearsed
in nightmares what came next, how often nursed
this killer in my hands. Like Damien Hirst,
I knew that I was certain to be cursed
by those who only see a shark immersed
in urine, not a work of art. Lips pursed,
I threw my bomb, and squatted, for I durst
not look upon the mayhem, when it burst.

of the trivial
visions
validated
with
unnerving
perverse
provocations
subversive
& startling
extremes
generated
to view
inspire
awaken
surprise
of
one mind
into another
Invite God to fill our being with joy
Growing gently, exhuming ego ploys
Night and day, gripping us in ecstasy
Infusing calm, tranquil serenity
Thirst for divine connect grows day by day
Ignorance ego borne, yet makes us sway
Oh hermit, in silence, simply align
Negating the lower, seek love divine
We look on as bliss invades us in swarms
Ignition rapture vivifying form
The Sushumna aglow, as nectar flows
Heightened ecstasy thus in stillness slow
Isness of being-ness in love parlance
Negating nothing, plays in innocence

High and low we search, amidst illusion
Each time we fall, we sink in depression
Pointing way optimal, is our conscience
Alerting us if we begin to stray
Trials of earth life throw us way off balance
Hardships to mind body, cause us to sway
Lost in the maze, we then enter silence
Ego yet pursues, luring us away
Stillness gets us back to the divine dance
Surrender to join this beauteous play
Pining for God connect, the path we take
Alert and mindful in silence tranquil
Treading gently, the ego we forsake
Heightening bliss within, Gods miracle

Beat about the bush no more, oh hermit!
Listen to the voice of silence within.
Ignition in renewal, pulse perfect!
Simply go in! Rest imagination.
Shed off oh hermit, all inhibition!
Thirst for God connect, is all that it takes.
Handle all ego urges, which calm shake.
Rely always on divine assistance.
Opt for love alone and ego forsake.
Be free and joyous in divine parlance.

V-igorous determination
I-s far away from gray.
N-ever stop nor slow down, behold the rising beacon;
E-ventide is left behind, just strive to carry on.
