Flowery paths wildly intersect rich, late summer;
While beautiful flute music plays in green trees,
Amidst song so rife, without drumrolls of thunder.
In butterscotch ease, drift humming, honeybees.
While beautiful flute music plays in green trees;
The exotic blooms send pleasant fumes, far away.
In butterscotch ease, drift humming, honeybees;
With huge, tossed hibiscuses, in crimson disarray.
The exotic blooms send pleasant fumes, far away,
Their dazzling colors, the world's latest sensation,
With huge, tossed hibiscuses, in crimson disarray.
The summer blossoms love every color of creation!
Their dazzling colors, the world's latest sensation,
Amidst song so rife, without drumrolls of thunder,
The summer blossoms love every color of creation!
Flowery paths wildly intersect rich, late summer.

Her face is not the sparkling mien of an angel
And her hair is not as hard as a horse’s mane,
Her gait is easy to predict and it’s nothing close
To the cat-walked strides that beauty models feign.
Her shy smile will send chills down your spine
But it cannot rival the practiced grins of a socialite,
She does not intend it but her cooing will drive
The most deadened stoic into a bout of sensual appetite.
She’s not any reincarnated ancient goddess
And she’s never thought so highly of herself,
Humility her weakness and coyness her strength;
Suzie disdains the quick girlish tempers of an elf.
With other pretty girls she does not herself compare.
Pageant judges can never fully unearth her limitless splendor
That puts hibiscuses and chrysanthemums to easy shame,
And makes all roses look uglier, and every peony feel less tender.
Suzie’s brimming beauty no fabled nymph can ever attain,
Though her humble aim is to remain hearty and ever plain.

Ebony brings mystery to the night
As the golden moon glows
Orange horizons will break with dawn's light
As the wind caresses the red rose
Blue jays flit from tree to tree
As white doves coo romantic melodies
A blackbirds caw echoes upon the breeze
As pink hibiscuses seduce honeybees
Yellow butterflies float by
Fluttering around shrubs of green
Purple blossoms in the wind do fly
As gray clouds form in the sky

Absolutely sapped out
I will unfurl
my flag today.
It was a raw wound
of nuanced statements in dark
when the moon fell in lake.
Talking to butterflies
as I take on the genre
of brainstormed hibiscuses.
It rained again in my
courtyard, wetting the
marbles and my eyes.
Take away the roof from
over my head. I have
come to meet the frozen tears.
The enormous guilt now
haunts the vacant eyes, why I didnot
accept the voluptuous breast of death.

Autumn brings leaves in multifarious hues,
Time's flow quickly readies us for winter's blow.
Fun days on our patios will soon turn to blues,
As it takes its leisure neath a blanket of snow.
The Sycamores have shed like some molting dog,
And each Crape Myrtle is dressed a yellowish red.
The huge Hackberry resembles an old upright log,
Now, too soon our days may be filled with dread.
The Hibiscuses are a gathering of pithy stalks,
Where once dinner plate size red flowers hung.
Now no cars come, stop and give strange gawks,
But things will be normal once spring has sprung.
Fallen leaves unmistakably are whispering to me,
Dancing at my feet they swirl along the ground.
As if they can't decide where they're supposed to be,
Each movement choreographed to whispering sound.
