April 27 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 20-22
Key Verse – 2Kings 20:8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO HEALS US
Praise be to God for healing us with His:
Deliverance from sin’s ailment
Defense above selfishness-affliction
Dominion over stubbornness’ arrogance
Decontamination against shame-abomination
Direction toward salvation-assurance and sanctification-affirmation
2Kings 21:22 Praise be to the Lord Who warns us not to
forsake Him; thus, we should walk in His way that:
Produces fruitfulness with His blessings
Powers faithfulness by His beckoning brightness
Prevents futility in His blossoming
Props faith upon His Book
Protects fervour through His bravery
2Kings 22:19 Praise be to the Saviour for
teaching us to humble before Him in:
Trusting His great reign
Triumphing in His gracious revival
Testifying about His good report
Telling His glad restoration
Toiling for His grand reward. Amen!

Our past only changes,
as it increases.
Leaving us to view,
what memory releases.
At our last breath,
“our die is cast.”
Days cease enlargement,
of our past.
At God’s judgment bar,
we’ll stand in wait.
Get your house in order,*
don’t wait too late.
* 2 Kings 20:1
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death.
And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him,
and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

You see, since 2002 to 2016,
The amount of years we been
Grinding you down,
Trying to make pulp outa ya mind!
The Lord and his Big Right Hand, Like Hezekiah,
Won't let go and for 15 years added 15 pounds
Per square inch for each Mercy he placed on your soul!
You see, the Maker gave Hezikiah 15 more years,
To do all he can and fix all that he could,
For the Purpose he willed for him.
Even Nebuchadnezzar God allow to rise after one year,
To reclaim his kingdom again!
We won't let you rise cause we ain't God's Right Hand,
So, with our left hands we forced you down to the ground,,
'Specially 2003, worst year in your life!
Then skipping some years, we looked at the very old.
Us, you and the world stood still like Joshua did.
But for 15 years, much time wasted,
Could have been money and expenditure;
But we did't know that God was Hezekiahering you!

We text love
Text we hate
We transmit feelings
Transmit we abuse
Don’t you kiss her textually
Only to amuse?
Sennacherib emerged on the banks of Nokianvarta
And with his royal-rage cellular
Encaged the runner-Hezekiah
And sealed the fate of post offices forever!
The handset, a giant miniaturized for your palm
Keeps you composed and calm
Ethero-numerically couriering your personal psalm.
O bonsied rectangular giant
Imprisoned in the cellular container
You have rendered surface mail redundant
You have made defunct the iconic runner
A whole tribe you have buried and the letter.
O digital Aladin’s lamp
Your service of the thousand years
Your multi-task Janus-runner static
Frowns at letters as ‘snail mail’ and old pedantic
Making the warm, emotion-soaked letters dodoic.
No more does Pamela ink her pangs and passion
She just keys-in and presses ‘send’ button.
Now Obama texts, Putin texts
And Modi texts and ‘mudi’ texts
Lover texts and hater texts
You text, they text and I text
With or without pretext.
And hence Carolus Lineous
From the other end of the horizon
On a new echelon
Puts the *****erectus-
*****sapiens, the *****textus.

The story of Hezekiah Munny
Is one that’s really kind of funny
He married Olive Eo
First cousin to McMar
She didn’t have much money
And she didn’t have a car
She loved dear Hezekiah
She would gladly have his name
But also quite attached, she was
To her given maiden name
Tell me what you want, my love
And what is your new name
Said she to Mr. Munny
Not glory neither fame
My desire and my name
Are the same, Mr. Munny
What else do you think it’d be
Olive Eo Munny
And so they bred the finest brood
Not fond or Mr. Munny
There was Bern, DeMar and Helwit
I told you it was funny

The Prayer of Hezekiah!
If you were facing death, as Hezekiah did…
Would you ask God for extra time to live?
Hezekiah cried out to God for a healing.
His life committed to God, was revealing.
He reflected on God and his obedience to him.
He had walked with God, and knew him!
He knew that he had done good in God’s sight.
And wept bitterly, through the day and night.
God heard his prayer, and soon answered him.
He let Hezekiah know he’d deliver him.
To his life of sickness, were added fifteen years.
God answered his prayer of brokenness and tears.
How many could pray a prayer of sincere dedication?
How many have lived a life
of a Godly edification?
How many of us truly love God and are committed?
Before this life that we have is quickly “omitted?”
May this be a sincere message to one and all!
May the spirit of God wake us up with a loud call!
The God of Hezekiah is alive! He truly loves you!
Won’t you allow his presence to come and touch you?
Allow God to restore what sin’s power takes away!
And allow him to add much
more to your life today!

The sun had grown dark on that fearful day
When Rabshakah, the Assyrian entered the fray;
Their armor and weapons glittered like gold
As they surged ’cross the plains to storm Israel’s fold.
But Hezekiah the king sought the Lord in prayer
To beseech God Almighty, His mercy to share;
The Lord would respond, then gave His command
To smite the Assyrian and deliver the land.
The Assyrian hordes were filled with flawed pride
Their faith in false gods, their treacherous guide;
They mounted their horses to charge for the gain
In their lust for the power that would end in pain
For the angel of death smote Sennacherib’s camp
And the fires of war were put out like a lamp;
The fields of green grass were transformed to a flood
That flowed on the ground as rivers of blood.
The legions lay dead with their eyes opened wide
And the host of their horses lay dead at their side;
The wind stole their cry from the pride of their breath
And gave its revenge in the silence of death.
The sons and the wives in their sorrow now weep
For the sickle of death had a harvest to reap;
The battle was won by the grace of the Lord
Who humbles the proud with the truth of His Word.
Isaiah 36 and 37
