A crusty goblin cracked a crevassed grin
While chasing odd witches in a tailspin
He heisted her fat black cat
Whereupon her broom she sat
To kill all the rats in his crusty den

This is the meat of memories,
the cloth of stories told:
the heisted fence,
the scuttled gate,
an entry forced,
by license of impressionistic poets
flashed and answered by the night.
The sunken grounding,
the moon burnt page,
and breath of Brooklyn
stalking down the lights
on cemetery hill.
Far dim the stars to near Manhattan
celestial majesty obscured by our contrivance.
I the canvass, these the paints.
I the marker, on the mausoleum
undertaking to preserve
of thawing memories the meat.

Death, cringe me in time's tentacles tight
Emasculate me with fears of nevermoreness tonight
Anger me with the void where friends are dust and mute
Tremble still, for the death of the saints are precious
Heaven's God is coming, and already is victorious.

Death demonic distard drought of dance
Evoke enmity's empty empire no more
Ascribed Ascended Adonai Adoration's sure
Triumph, whose troves of timeless tolerance
Hasten not high heaven's heckled hurt to thee.

Draining sense and time, the ice clad heart shrivelled drop, a vanished cloud vat
Exiting the light, silence piling mass unmoved, flew in with the bat
Amassing nothing, drought drizzled leaves fall crippled, exorcised in air
Tettered life force fled, man decomposes to dust, our hearts flinch despair
Heisted loan sense-fled, blinded dreamlng, deficit stained, the ultimate loss
