I'm a native born morning in Appalachia,
smoky mountains surround
my holy ground.
Life in a single-wide far from the road
never gets old.
nor do two ducks trying to mate
in my leaky rubber pool.
Yesterday's wine bottle is empty again
yet I pour myself out
sip the chill mist
light up, let the hot tobacco
heat the dew on my lips.
The birds are making a fuss.
The Blue heelers are whooping it up,
and the goats are high brawling.
Wife's gone to Cookeville
to work at Walmart,
says she ain't coming back.
Figure I’ll go back to bed,
rest my head till whenever,
then
drink a warm beer for breakfast.
dogs on vacation filling up the beach with warm barks
dobermans, german shepherds, prissy poodles that cause sparks
husky and rottweiler are sharing a purple lounge chair in the sun
excited corgis begin a volley ball game; this is all kinds of fun!
bulldogs and blue heelers, tripping around in the moist sand.
perky dogs with fluffy tails that are wildly frenzied and fanned.
chihuahuas and yorkies and there is a beagle with a howl.
this would not be the place for a kitten or fowl.
let’s vacation on down to the Vermosa beach
and drink some cold water with slight taste of peach
here comes a striped surfboard and a jet ski too
unhappy mailmen fall from the sky, out of the blue
OBSESSIONS
Shes so into them high heelers
there's no satisfying her... desire
for them high heeled fashions shoes
a high heeler shes in her deepest self
of chocolates its an addiction but i wont
mention liquor she says gonna say am hating
and brood for weeks on end thou i still lover her
ever always so much i guess shes my obsession..a she

Aussie Blue Heeler
Seen em strike, brown snakey type,
When cattle dogs are near,
Seen the bite cut off the hide,
With bloody sheep shearing shears.
Saved dogs life?
Seen brown snakes pulled from logs,
hunting cattle dog, blue heelers,
Seen dogs eating brown snakes, alive,
Scales n all, Blue demon dealer.
Blue heeler used to get the Scrubber, (wild cattle)
Back in the bloody herd,
The runner got nipped on his heels,
Therein blue heeler word.
Religious types came to me ,
The blue dogs intercepted,
Snapping at their heels they were,
left , without a blessing.
Snarling guard dog he will bite,
Right about your heel,
Faithful watchful a delight,
And then your heart he’ll steal.
