As hedonists dally
to never explain
The greatest pleasure
— the absence of pain

Some days go by with a feeling that; it is but you fighting against the whole
world.
And years go by in a blink of an eye; it is but you getting used to.
strangers pass by treat you, an outsider; it is but you walking on their land.
Sorrows are stories that go unheard; it is but rambling to the deaf.
Heart that stares into darkness; it is but solving a puzzle, and missing pieces.
Something on your mind; it is but the elusive art of expressing, and receiving
love.
thought grips tight; it is but the stipulation of what is out of hand.
In the pursuit of what can grow; it is but falling victim to hedonists.
craving for different things; it is but being on the opposite sides.
life; It is but to know there is no god to say, "let there be light".
And then the end of the trial and the trail.

All are wide-awake
In the first phase of the night
Hedonists are awake in the second
Then the thieves appear at the site
Yogis get up fresh
In the fourth phase of it;
It is the hour when diamond pendants are set
From the overhead canopy
When gossamer clouds rest
In the space azury
Everything remains inert and sleepy
Silence engulfs the earth from end to end
Many happy dreams are conceived
Many new hopes tend
Hours are pregnant
With ideas attendant
May or may not come true;
The grayish-orange dawn waiting to bloom
Has something in its womb
Neither can we comprehend nor can we groom.

“One of the biggest kicks a person can have is a feeling of righteous indignation.”
~ Alan Watts, in a recorded talk titled “Reality, Art, and Illusion” (1965)
If gay folks can marry, is marriage worth less?
Your love and attachment worth nothing, of course
Or maybe those just don’t exist – let’s confess
You’d rather they cheapen the cost of divorce.
If gay folks can marry, does that mean God failed?
Deny they came out swinging as you despise –
Makes sense to assert that God would’ve prevailed
Had man skipped the paperwork that sanctifies.
If gay folks can marry, say who is worse off?
The billions of us, dear, engaging in sex?
Our billions more children won’t have room to scoff
Or private space left to repeat such prospects.
If gay folks can marry, so what’s it to you?
The sanction of hedonists’ day in the sun
That you’d rather darken when this is what’s true:
You’re jealous to miss out on all of the fun.

Humanity accosted the once pristine lake
judging it insentient.
Man spilled sewage into the lakes depths.
Humanity …screaming its dominion
pounds the placid waters with their toys.
Releasing an unbridled urge for speed
lubricating their pipes with liquor
demeaning the essence
and true nature of thirst…
Humanity_ hedonists to the core
quash the captive waters,
home to fish, fowl and fauna.
Spring fed lakes across the continents of man
treated with disdain
Girdled, damned, polluted
with oil of man…
Fishermen, such as He, can only cry.
