If I have rhyme, If i have reason, but where do i say ?
All the land screams, "keep it out of our bay" !
Hypocrisy is holy, sermons are hyper,
Every land is Hamelin but there is no pied piper.

Not pied but a piper of a different sort,
Partakers tend to frequent cuff and court.
He seldom leads prefers to follow,
Decorates flesh while insides hollow.
And slowly lets his ways go shady,
And lowers bar on choice of lady.
Will blame the Mayor and Council Board,
As if actions be not of his own accord.
Why all’d be in his favor if only not
For that darned raw deal that he got!
Plus ‘cause of him and also her
For was them that made it all occur.
“The unfairness! Those in cahoots!”
Falling on deaf ears; points are moot.
Child throws tantrums, teens rebel,
Twenties, thirties, gone to Hell.
Not of Hamelin or setting exotic,
Just the state of confusion, the city
psychotic.

Halloween
Trick or treat (Pied piper)
Excitement filled the air.
Halloween night…
Thick dark mist covered,
A cold ghostly spirit appeared,
The earth was still,
As fear gripped,
Revenge was sweet,
The payment due!
Curse came back to haunt,
Like a plague of rats.
A stranger from the past,
Roamed the earth,
Pied piper of Hamelin,
In multi-coloured cloths
Back from the grave,
His silent sounds called,
As he blew his pipe,
The children followed,
Dressed in their witches costumes,
Black and scary,
Blood stains dripping,
They danced behind,
As he led them out of town,
Trick or treat!
Trick or treat!
Trick or treat!
They sang in joy,
As he threw them sweets,
One hundred and thirty,
Children was led,
And disappeared.
Never to be seen again.

Before you read further, please be aware,
you should read that sign right over there.
This plain wooden sign,
With words painted Red.
You best read it,
or you'll soon be dead.
DRAGON COUNTRY,
it says on the front.
(A dragon's one creature you shouldn't confront.)
The sign is all crooked,
Charred, scratched, and well done.
(Come on, hurry up you tiny ones, run.)
the sound of my pipe, urges them on,
They're no longer laughing, or dancing along.
All the children, I'd taken away.
because of the governor's actions that day.
here I'll release them, and here they will stay.
My powerful winged friends are all hungry, they say.
This is how I'll make that town pay.

Piping loud
(An Epitaph to the unsung hero William Blake)
Fighter he was with
Bow of burning gold:
Arrows of desire:
Chariot of fire!
He heard the lamb’s innocent call
And the ewe’s tender reply.
Always remembered who made the lamb.
Never ceased Mental Fight
Never allowed Sword to sleep
To build Jerusalem
In England’s green land
He roamed from field to field
Tasted all the summer’s pride
In the sunny beams did glide
Craved for love, mercy, pity, peace
He turned to the garden of love
That bore so many sweet flowers
Joy was his name
To him Art is naked beauty displayed

Rats for Phones
Medieval Hamelin, so they say
Was rat infested so one day
The town folks, though with shady hype
Hired a Piper and his pipe
And rid the town of rats he did
But he also piped away each kid
So it is today in a South African town
Alexandria has run aground
It’s rat infested with all types
And there’s no Piper now who pipes
But you still can hear the Piper’s tones
In the city sponsored free cell phones
For if you turn in 60 rats
You get a cell phone and congrats
They’re killing rats there by the score
In hopes there soon would be no more
But signs say this stunt could backfire
As there is now some public ire
The activists for animal rights
Have got the city in their sights
And they’ve condemned this initiative
Saying even rats have the right to live
Where will this end – I have no clue
But if you had rats what would you do
If you’re like me, let it be known
We’d have ourselves a new cell phone

The woman Sira
So, woulds’t Pan entice me
in a land of beauty, known as Umbria.
With silken surround
radiating a web of utmost magic.
Oh! wondrous creature.
Men to trip and fall liken children,
who in such fairy tale
upon hearing music, were captivated.
As in Hamelin to be entranced,
to follow blindly to be bewitched.
Oh! how I desired to hold thy hand,
Oh! how I desired to taste thy lips,
just as the wolf, wilt I await?
To watch silently to gather up all mine cunning.
For you Sira are indeed, a rare gemstone.
Accustomed to cast away all curious suitors.
Now Pan didst cast you up,
and to offer the cup of such delicious amour.
All wilt pay a price,
draw back the facade.
Gaze now at mine armour and vanish
forever..... as one.

Are you watchin' the rats
Scurrying to and fro
Impending doom is theirs
In their hearts they know
They ate up all the grain
Soiled all homesteads
Ravaged hill and plain
Bit babies in their beds
Mean little red eyes glazed
They read the sacrament
Ravished all they raised
Rest perished in torment
But now in Hamelin
A smallish pipe is out
Play’s about to begin
One can smell the rout
Are you watchin' the rats
Scurrying to and fro
Impending doom is theirs
In their hearts they know

PETA Condemns the Pied Piper
By Elton Camp
PETA thought the piper shouldn’t treat rats that way
So due to his villainy, they had the following to say:
Rats are sentient beings with rights equal to a human
So because of what the Pied Piper did, we are fumin'
The rats had the right to live in Hamelin there’s no doubt
And what he should have done is to drive the people out
Not to lead the rats off and make them drown in the river
To hear of such dire cruelty just makes good PETA quiver
