Winter Memories

warm fire -
the click of my grandmother's
knitting needles sending me
to sleep.

dance amongst silver tinsel~
an old-fashioned flare

laughter and chatter
warm the home with joyful cheer~
holiday party

inviting

One brightest star
That shining in the sky
Is my grandmother.

Gnarled fingers shook off the snow
Waking the frosted sparrows
An old grandmother Elm sighed.

Creeps along a city street
No pity kitty


A cold rain
Slows the slugs
