Seduced in youth, by Venus' shining star
Soon, Mars and Jupiter, became my friends
I've seen the tiny Pluto from afar
And to the moon each night my thoughts ascend
I've been to every planet heaven holds
On many nights, I've strolled the Milky Way
Admired the greenest greens and goldest golds
It is the perfect end to every day
And yet, in silent stillness it remains
The peace it offers, in my trying times
It comforts me in soothing hushed refrains
It listens as I bare my soul in rhymes
When I was just a child, it winked and teased
One starry night, as I prayed on my knees.
