They stood a test of time,
Yet glorified is this shrine,
Build around 700 AD with some submerged and some exposed..
Proudly does she overlook the Bay of Bengal,
As she remains as one of the oldest structural temple,
Who constantly keeps glorifying our ancient scripts,
From the tales of King Hiranyakashipu and his son Prahalada,
Maa Durga as Mahishasurmardini and Lord Shiva along with Nandhi, his mount.
Enshrined in a small rectangular shrine is Anantashayi Vishnu,
With the external walls filled with beautiful carvings of Krishna slaying Kesi,
And dancing over Kaliya and then being seated on his vehicle Garuda.
Mesmerizing is this sight,
When seen when the light is bright,
So make sure that you visit this place, Alright

Onward, poem writers, writing as to a book,
With the words of intelligence leap before you look;
A sonnet, the royal rhyme, leads against the prose;
Forward into phrases see what words your mind goes!
Not to write about God or Allah or Jesus or Mohammed or Buddha,
Not even about mythology or the bearer of Vishnu, Garuda.
Write about simple things like love;
But do not mention The God Almighty who lives above.
Do not slam people, do not take the piss
Cause the snakes will come out and they bloody hiss.
Onward poetical writers
Be anything except fighters,
Do not write about passions
Not even about sexual emotions.
If you do you get a slap on the bum,
because remember one plus one makes an awful sum.

What a wonder of a bird?
When of it my ears heard
My eyes could not hide their admiration.
You are the Phoenix
That lived the years of unlimited matrix
For dying is your resurrection.
You are the Bennu
That's what Egypt calls you
For awe is your firing unction.
You are the Hou-ou
The Japanese result of your thought through
Magnificent is the gaze of your attention.
You are the Feug- Hang
Your christened Chinese lang
The miracles of your dying section.
You are the Garuda
The Indiana sight of your wonder
Great is the cycle of your procession.
The insignia of a Rebirth
The emblem of change on our path.
Death is not the end
A bright beginning lend
The theme of the sun
A gift of a father to a son.
More than a myth
Or a speak of a legend
It is the defeat of death...
A might for anyone to ascend.

I am Garuda, a vahana of Lord Vishnu
A crown on my head show you my divine
As I soaring high in the air
Vedas chanted out of my red wings
I am Garuda, son of Kasyapa and Vinata
An embodiment of wisdom, one form with many epithets
Mortals knew me as Chirada, Gaganeshvara, Kamayusha
They also named me Kashyapi, Khageshvara, or Vishnuratha
I am Garuda, representations of sacred and holy
My massive golden body can block out the sun
And with my presence I made any creature hesitate
Even the serpent, source of all sins, abide me
I am Garuda, the face of wisdom and courage
I have fought alongside with Krishna, Satyabhama and Hari
My luminous white face and strong beak shrunken the evil
For I am Garuda, the king of all birds.
I am Garuda
I live in the faith of believers.

Thailand,
Or Kensington?
Tinfoil from a Kit-Kat,
Tells you that there’s no difference,
Outside,
Cocaine,
Ammonia,
Old Martell miniature,
A Bic lighter; a mound of ash,
Bangkok?
Fly south
Like Garuda,
Drift off to Koh Samui,
A Beach house, Or Council estate?
Who cares?
Wake up,
Burnt down candles,
Landlord on the doorstep
‘Last weeks rent?’ ‘Giro on Thursday…
…Get lost…’
