Frighting Poems | Examples

A Nightmare

I had a dream, a Nightmare
A scary kid with a frighting Stare
The Fright of which, I couldn't bare
As if I was being caught in a snare

My Heart Sinking to the ocean Floor
soul shaken to its deepest core
Throat aching , as if it is sore
I want to run, run to the shore

He speaks, Speaks in a Language unknown to me
faces Shifting in Distance all of them familiar to me
Speaking, speaking in a Language Unknown to me
I am alone, alone among the people So Beloved to me

A distant voice resonates my thoughts
I close my eyes, and feel my soul
I seek protection, protection of my lord;

"I want to be safe with the master of the day break,
from the evil of what he created
and from the evil of the dark when it takes over."
(Al-Quran 113:1-3)

Information Overload

Fraught is not dauntless as The Honor is frighting
AS my kids sleep one day they'll wake up
Ziplines tragedies uptown is where the rich sleep
Lucky is being true to your Maker
AS no Master has yet to Master me
I still must be the Master of my emotions

Copslides are like collapsed economies
Every said "no" to an enemy
Centerpiece "Well" it explodes into smithereens
Generous men expose themselves to Danger
While greedy men wish for their deaths
May the Generous Always be blessed and excel at all things

Sandy Is It Over

Sandy is it over?
We don't get the news here in the woods
No cable in the caves to where we all ran away
When we heard what you'd planed to do

Has the cold harsh wind subsided
Can we all come out from hiding
Sandy we ain't lying
When we say this was all very frighting

Sandy is it over?
Is the world now a happy place
Can I call the furry woodland creatures out
Let them know it's once again safe to frolic and play

Bambi and Thumper are still shaking
The Mantis are still praying
Quite the shock waves you were making
What with the way you were behaving

Sandy is it over?
Will the world tilt back now on it's axis
Will the Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Tornadoes cease and desist
Can our Gluteus Maximus now relax on us

Can't say it wasn't a thrill
We're just thankful that no one was killed
Remember you do this again and we will
Pack our bags and head back to the hills

At times we may be fat, dumb, and lazy
But with all of the above we ain't crazy
Sandy is it over?

My second and final installment to my friends 3 day cleanse...
I think she survived!

Fog

Fog
It creeps across the grass at night
You can't even look at the lights.
Thick as soup without a pot.
You can not see the tree top.
Buildings to conceal from sight.
A foggy night with a strange sight.
You don't want to go out for fear of frighting.
What could this fog bring tonight.

Nighttime

That time of day,
when day is no longer,
the sky engulfed in darkness
the moon is again born.
The sun has set and has passed,
giving room for a new light to be born.
This time of day,
when day is no longer,
is frighting to some,
but to others peaceful.
Normally time for sleep to some,
but to others day as only begun.
They rise with the moon,
and sleep with the sun,
loving the darkness.
Using it as a weapon,
to catch their prey.
The time of day,
when day is no longer
is the time to discover
what you cannot in the light.
Now rather than the sun,
the moon gives light,
to illuminate the darkness.
