The trolling of the iron bell
brought the pair together
in sickness and in health
through all kinds of weather
he a macho manly male
anticipating his marital right
she a timorous maiden frail
awaiting her wedding night
no more lingering at the church
or languishing left in the lurch
no more cake or champagne
someone left it out in the rain
and that which is to come
he acceding to her every plea
she submitting to his every wish
a happy couple for all the world to see

The chains of yesterday, now worn and frail,
Once heavy, they are lightened with each day.
In freedom's early light, our hearts set sail.
New dawns unfold with skies of hopeful blue,
Each sunrise brings fresh dreams to light anew.
The world awaits a chance to start anew.
Yet echoes of the past can softly bind,
Whispers of old fears that linger in the dark.
Yet freedom’s flame within is what we find.
The chains of yesterday, now worn and frail,
Each sunrise brings fresh dreams to light anew.
Yet freedom’s flame within is what we find.

You are old, Uncle Joseph,
your short stepping gait
has aroused much comment
in the media of late.
My steps may be short
but I still get along.
Like Johnny Walker
I'm still going strong.
You are old, Uncle Joseph.
If I err, please forgive..
Your memory, they say,
somewhat resembles a sieve.
Being forgetful isn't so bad
and let me tell you why.
It often avoids the embarrassment
of having to tell a lie.
You are old Uncle Joseph,
you look like a clown
on certain occasions
when you nearly fall down.
Young man, whatever you say
i can still pull a mighty hard punch,
so why not take an old man's advice
and leave straight away to have lunch.

“Are you afraid of being left behind?”
“No, it’s just temporary, I’m not lonely.”
But abandonment issues aren't easy.
Perhaps it’s called a frail state of mind.
A tragedy befallen upon mankind,
Rehearsing while watching the phone ring,
Blind trust or do you question everything?
Lots of space, but you’re still confined.
“What is the reason for your misery?”
“It’s not only that but also agony”.
Much like a forgotten time in history,
Nothing special about this ceremony.
Sometimes you’re calm but extremely jittery.
Once again, all alone on your balcony.

From outside
you look big
kind and strong
nice and meek
deep inside
you are weak
brute and false
split and sick

Sadness creeps in akin to an acrid taste.
Magnificent dreams are now gone to waste.
Fevers rage on as birds sing a song.
My mind is awake, but something is wrong.
Frail it becomes, this once strong mind,
As doubts and fears start to unwind.
Memories fade like a distant shore.
Leaving me lost and wanting more.
Tears fall gently, akin to summer rain.
As I strain to hold on to what remains.
But the world keeps spinning, never slowing.
And I find myself just floating.
Frailty is not a weakness but a sign of time.
This a reminder that we all must decline.
But in this weakness, there is still strength.
A will to fight, to lead to any length.
So I'll hold on tight to what I hold dear.
And let the cast off the things that bear fear.
A frail mind can still be strong,
And with perseverance, its strength can prolong.
The taste of sadness may linger long,
But it can't overpower the beauty of a song.
And amidst the pain and the strife,
There's still a world full of life.
So let your mind be

How happy are the stars in the sky?
They never fail to shine, no matter if it’s dark or bright.
I rise from my bitter bed daily.
With a little hope that their light will save me.
No emotion tickles when the soul gets numb.
Words disappear from wounded thoughts.
Lay my step gently in the solitude tram.
Choices get limited, tied up in knots.
The day I waited finally came when I was least expecting it.
The shining flame appears in my ocean, which is worth protecting.
The final blink of my eye uttered the unspoken word for you.
That each day passes without you realizing this was meant to be true.

DON'T GIVE UP THE RACE
If we would just remember
No matter what happens to us
That our loving Savior
Always knows what's best
We must quit our sad complaints
And prayerfully seek His will
Then He will daily work with us
And all His love instill
Frail as humans are
We're vital to our Lord
He cannot forget is own
And protects us with His Sword
So don't give up the race
We must endure unto the end
And as we do our best
His blessings He will send

FRAIL& FRAGILE
Rough path I have been through
The journey of torturing
Sleeping in the down side road
Feeling frail and fragile inside
The hurting force keep me at one position
It's like centrifugal force
The blind side of the internal bleeding
It's a long telling
When I don't have much energy to say
In the middle edge of maintaining broken life
The place I try all means to get through thorny road
Then I turn frail and fragile
Deep inside my heart my cry was like flood
It's hard to spend when you can't count
In the moments dad comfort me
I was down to the lowest edge of life
The mind was shut like a locked dog in a chain
It's hard to take a move
Though frail and fragile term my song
But my dream was bigger than problems

A Frail Reality
David J Walker
Say goodbye to frail reality
Found only in a virtual
Yesterday left unattended
Memory is the only certainty
But will change with
prevailing winds
there is no use arguing
with this today
that holds your uncertain future

A Friend in passing
David J Walker
When I heard of his death
All I could think about
Was my last breath
In a coming day
As I cross the river
What would I say
As I Part the veil
And leave behind
A body frail
As I process his passing
a quietly forlorn
a thought in grasping
Is it for him
Or for me
That I mourn

I'm a frail human soul.
I solemnly cuss staunchness to glorify God.
Creator and master of mighty power,
With every breath, I scaled a heavenly view.
With a cheery voice and burning praise,
Oh how happy, grateful, and thankful I feel,
So I might live amid those halcyon spirits.
How wonderful you're, O god.
Oh, trustworthy supplier and protector!
I owe my faithfulness to the Almighty God.
My heart is filled with praise for God.
Your pardon is all I need to forget my sins,
I bear the sorrow of those many misdeeds.
So I lift my hands and kneel on the floor,
And extol the virtues of my God.
To the Master glory brilliant renown!
Lord of the soil and the heavens,
Since there's no one like Him.
I'm a frail human soul.

We'll survive
This too will pass
We've been through worse
Patience wins the day...
The tender chick though
within frail feathers trembles
never sure if the worst
has passed, or lurks just ahead...
Hug the child, your child, our children
their frail feathers tremble ~
when hens and roosters dissemble
