I live and love fearlessly.
I live and love fiercely.
I lived and loved falsely.
I lived and loved freely.
I am living and loving fulfillingly.
I am living and loving fantastically.
I am life and love firstly.
I am life and love forthrightly.
I live and love felicitously.
I live and love fastidiously.
I lived and loved ferociously.
I lived and loved fragmentally.
I am living and loving freeheartedly.
I am living and loving flirtatiously.
I am life and love figuratively.
I am life and love fundamentally.

Of course, it’s all unbearable.
Life was always meant to be only bearable in parts,
fragmentally joyful, disjointedly awful.
A hot and cold cup of blood for the human soul.
Life! What do we know of it,
how on earth do we cope?
We simply must trust
the beauty of the unbearable.
If you hate a Mahler symphony, or rap music,
then learn to be infinitely patient, be stoic.
If you like happy music, tune it out, get sad
listening to all things sad,
in time,
it will not feel so bad.
Life is short, so drag it out.
The unbearable length
of those long periods
between heaven and hell will serve you well.
Of course,
no one gets through it unscathed,
but if you know
how to bear the unbearable,
forebear and embrace,
then you may just avoid
becoming a cynical poet.

I trimmed the thorns off the blood red rose to prevent my own flowing down the stem
The petals nestled soft as snow, the fragrance of a thousand nights and days
Misting the air, summoning memories and regrets, days so far and fragmentally near
The eternal green stems, rooted in the depths of the dust from which we came.

I think of you-
sometimes dancing;
at sunset in an-
apartment building.
Fragmentally moving-
your internal portrait;
in a crowded room-
of blank expressions.
(Full circle spinning)
while the tambourines
play: “Say-hey,
slow motion forever.”
(Slowly) lay your head in my hand; if only
for a moment, don’t give me time to forget again.
