Seven

your heart is a work of beauty;
scars glint with gold,
and it beats in triumph.
you, darling, are brilliant.
your compassion,
your faith,
your dedication,
your love.
i have sunk
deeper into loving you,
and I’ll never find the shore.

Lovelight

My lovelight for you never shadowed,
my heart ascends into the flames of
the churning restless sun in
the soul wounds of the bereaved.

Forever you're in all my season's dreams,
a dedication, a tribute-
cannot be lost into the cosmos.
It lilts in our songs and
shooting star's journeys,
and fills the elements with
a universal anthem of unending cherish. ~

Flying For Him

Over the sea to the north of me, up the river where the crocodiles roam in the village of my lovers home. Painting his face with black, ochre and white, looking just right with the cutest dimples shaping from his magnetic smile. Dedication to his people and culture brings an obscure haze between us where vision blurs hence spirit lifts to fly home, leaving the eagles circling the sky without...me. Wonder if he will follow though how would he with clipped wings and chains of commitment weighing mercilessly his ankles and heart?

Kurt Cobain

KURT COBAIN

K Kurt Cobain my idol you still--always remain
U Unique in a way that few can seek to explain
R Rejecting yourself – inflicted by a life of pain
T Too many fans- too overwhelming your fame

C Courageously you continued to light a flame
O Our hearts you won-- the talent and shame
B ‘Breed’ and ‘Stay away’—always ‘On a Plain’
A ‘All Apologies’ as your hurt remained the same
I Imagine lost music if your life we might reclaim
N ‘Nevermind?’ suicide…tragic choice… end game

To Grandpa

Grandpa so full of love and warmth
Grandpa so full of wisdom and knowledge
Grandpa so full of yes white hair on your crown
Grandpa so full of care always brought me fruits

Bob we loved to call you and we loved you
Many a times your tongue spewing wisdom
We delighted in you we flourished with you
Grandpa i knew you well you were a judge

A judge in the traditional sense spewing wisdom
Not a judge of corridors of power and huge crest
A judge bound by honor and oath to rule justly
Grandpa we knew you as a strict disciplinarian

You are gone it's a decade plus a handful of years
Yet forever you are deeply cherished in our hearts
At the banks of Gihon you turned and looked back
A wise appraisal for the future you had oh Judge

I See a Man - a Mara Prose Dedication Poem

I see a man who is misunderstood

I see a man who is assumed to be up to no good

I see a man who has a good heart

I see a man whose heart is regularly ripped apart

I see a man that wants to be loved

I see a man that focuses on heaven above

I see a man whose skin color is assumed to be a threat

I see a man whose own family he may one day come to regret

I see a man who shines bright as a star

I see a man whose life will be way above par

I see a man whose mother is the love of his life

I see a man who one day will find someone like his mother in a wife

Who is this man I see?

It is my son, my life, an extraordinary part of me.

Dedicated with all my love to my son Xavier Floyd who will one day become the man of someone's dreams. Thank you for being your mother, Mara Prose's, biggest fan.

4 - fortify your love
      He said to her
      Cos now we are fruitful
      Let your heart be true
Cos we have gone along way
     To have a family now
       You have always been here
And all I am now I can't be
       With out loving you
       Me and you two kids
        4 wonder family

2- two of us are now friends again
     Just like from the start
     Despite all we've shared
     This long years
We are now separate in watch
      We use to be 4
     Now we break like
     420
We clash down like a stock market
A man with out his wife and kids
     Yet life must go one
Despite not easy lossing a family with you

0- life is like a zero
    Never say never
    Cos who will ever think
We can fall from 4 to nothing
      Broken promises
        Broken hearts
Has cost us a broken home
And now I can never say never
             Despite your good intentions
              Nothing last forever
At the end life is like a zero

Dedication to broken homes and
Divorces
Were broken hearts speaks
In obvious silence

I'M Back

Hey, did you hear the sounds of a sorrowed heart
slowly thumping away in the evening sunsets?
There he is, baby, the man they call;
"The Blue Poet"
there he is in the flesh
with a book of poems in his hand,
look at the whores and the smiles turn to him
and say to him, "Where have you been?"
They look at him and he looks at us.
He sits at his desk,
he lits a cigarette and smokes.
He opens the big book of poetry that he had in his hand
and started to read.
There was a smile on his face,
reading to all of us;
as we sat around his greatness and glory
and we listened to his great poetry.
He looked at us through the dark
and with eyes a blazed and a smile so bright
he opened his mouth and out came the words of
a sorrowed heart and a master at his finest hour,
and he said in a calm voice;
"I'm Back, baby!"
And we all cheered,
and he smiled and drank his glass of red wine
and smoked his cigarette
He leaned back in his chair and watched us all
stand and cheer.
If you looked closely,
you could see a single tear form in his eye
and roll down his rough cheek.
The Blue Poet was back,
and this time he stayed.

-10/23/2013-

A dedication to myself. I am sorry to all my fellow fans and followers and poets and poetesses, I had left you all without a trace of ever returning, but now I am back and here to stay!

I Always Love You

Loving you always be the sweetest
Thing I have ever done, Cause
I love you since I met you,
Since the first time I saw you
Without you, my life will be empty
I know, I will be lost without you
My love, I always love you….
You always help me, baby
With my all my troubles
And I’d the same for you
If I said, no one care about me
You always say, you do…
I’ve fallen in love with you
And I never let you go
I love you more than anyone
I just have to let you know
My feelings for you never change
Just remember one thing
Every day passes by
I hope you won’t go
As long as I shall live
I’ll always keep you dear
Anytime you need me
I’ll be there, with open arms
To set you free, I told you so
I’ll always love you through the years
There is another secret
That is killing my heart
One that make me realize
You make me a whole
And no matter how hard I fall
Or how bad I felt on my knees
I’ll still get up to hold you
Loving you for all eternity
And smiling through all my tears
Because my heart will be empty without you
And I know, I will be lost without you
My love, but most of all my Best Friend
I always love you!!!

in dedication to Mi Amor Tony S.
A wonderful true honest respected man i know one of the very few left. May we always be close even just as friends

To My Uncle

A man who you could call any day of the week and he'll be there in a flash
A believer in the heavenly father for his actions show he puts others first before his own
Pure love for his family and daughters who've grown to fine women in life
Loved his wife dearly and provided everything he could for he's so pure
Worked to the bone to provide for his family putting a roof over their head and food to eat
Easy to talk to and would give you clothes off his back to help another in need
His heart is and always will be pure like the blue skies above
He's my second father and in the mirror he's the splitting image of my own father
Not afraid to discipline when your acting out but it's all out of love
Teach you the error of your ways and guide you to make a better way
Wild in the days of his youth but as he grew he matured into a fine man
As an uncle, brother, father, cousin he's a man whose heart is pure as gold
He was an amazing deacon and did everything he could for the church till his last breath
For his love of the father was endless for all the amazing things he did in his life
And when you look into his children they're the splitting image of who he is
When you look at his wife she's the splitting image of his heart and purity
When you look at his family you see the splitting image of his love and dedication
For a man whose finally returned home and watching over from above
For a uncle who I'm proud who molded a family together through his actions and unyielding care
Uncle Sammy Curtis you always stay in our hearts and know you'll never be far from our minds

A Word With You, Ts

A moment of your time TS Eliot
as I shall praise you with glory.
You are a genius,
an American now an English Gentleman
went to Harvard,
went to London,
Married the first girl you met,
disgraced your family in Saint Louie!
Became friends with the great Ezra Pound,
tell him I said, "hello,"

1915,

The publication of Prufrock,
my favorite poem,
spoke to me so much,
I cried everytime I read it.
World War I scared you,
tried to join the navy,
but too sick I heard.
You, my friend are a genius.

Then there was Violet,
a young girl who admired you,
you two instantly fell in love,
took her by the hand and whisked her off into paradise;
Into a not so Wasteland.
Speaking of Wasteland,
yes 1922 came along
a year you became dark and mysterious
an old man writing in a girls point of view,
Why Marie?
The Burial of the Died,
A Game of Chess,
The Fire Sermon,
Death by Water,
and What the Thunder Said.
All truely genius my friend.
Dedication and transfiguration,
such Modernism in your voice,
in your work,
that should have called you
the Modernistic boy.

TS Eliot my friend,
after you have passed
and now long gone you are,
laying next to Dickens, Chaucer, Shakespeare,
at the Poets corner in Westminister Abbey
I look at your past work
that made you, who you are
and may I say, you my friend are a genius.
Goodday to you my sir,
and I shall leave you off with a kiss
and a cherished line from; The Wasteland.

From Burial of the Dead:

"And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something diffrent from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you,
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I WILL SHOW YOU FEAR IN A HANDFUL OF DUST."

"I will show you fear in a handful of dust", wow
TS, that my friend, is genius!

Rest in Peace too T.S. Eliot (1888-1965)
    -My inspirastion for writing poetry
and becoming a poet! Thank you!!

Welcoming Youl

You really want to know who I am?
Are you interested at all,
In what lies behind the pretty face?

Perhaps in search of,
A little substance?
A certain grace?

Not unlike any other
Mother of this great Earth,
I am strong.

I’ve had to sharpen my skills,
Thicken my blood to ward off
The night’s chills.

When the dragon came,
It was solely my game.

No knight,
Not even any armor,
In sight.

So I fought.

Bloody, impossible battles.
That wore me down to the very bone.
Alone.

But not to worry,
For you see,
That is what has made me,
Well….
Me.
Still residing in that lofty tower,
Delicate beauty disguising
My hard earned power.

No true knight in site.

That’s strangely been...
Alright.

But even within my intricate, fascinating castle,
That I built up around me,
That shell.
That forms my layer of protection from,
Those crafty, hungry beasts from hell,
Who come cloaked in,
The black of winter’s darkest night.

I am still just,
A vulnerable, little girl.
Bathed in golden light.

I have read all of the words of the great men,
And when they no longer took me to,
Those beloved, mysterious corners,
I began to write my own.

When the colors of my paints,
Finally blended into a dull hue,
So faint,
I created new colors.

When my feminine frame failed me,
In the physics required to cross that wide moat,
I designed the proper tool.
I learned.

I built a boat.

Should you find the courage to approach,
The strength and tenacity necessary to hack away at,
The wild, glorious, flowering vines growing without reason,
Surrounding my castle,
Season after long season,
And you are afforded,
A fleeting peek at the treasure within--

I welcome you.
Let’s begin.

Should you get past those tall, outer gates,
That were built by men of much lessor character.
Those who dared to show,
With absolutely no
Honor.
Or Truth.
Somehow slipping past my barrier.

Those who dared to win the girl with fancy spins,
Across the parlor’s gold and pearl inlayed floor,

Please stop there.

Pause just a moment at that door.
Before approaching again.

Stop and take it all in.

Really see what your greatest journey
Has brought you to.

Open the perception of your heart and really look.

Realize what all of this took.

For this is the destiny,
Of your heart’s greatest dream.
And yes, I am even more,
Than I could possibly ever seem.

The laughter you hear but cannot quite determine,
The direction from which it comes.
That is indeed,
Pure joy.

Not magic.

The tears that fill your eyes,
Are those of knowing
A sweetness rarely found.
It is truth.

However tragic.

That thrust of purpose you feel at your back,
That skip suddenly quickening your feet,
As we approach to meet,

That is all real.

No magic spells have been cast.
There’s no fleeting, shallow, trending romance here,
That couldn’t possibly last.
That’s the next castle over.

What is here is real.

It is a lifetime of commitment.
An incomparable dedication to Truth.
Decorated equally with my hard-earned scars,
As much as,
My finest beauty and the ecstasy I bring,
Along with more thrills,
Than a man has ever seen.

You are not in a dream.
But you have discovered,
The hidden treasure that is me.

So welcome.
Approach with care.
I’m so glad to finally see you there!

At my castle’s great gate.
Finally realizing our extraordinary destiny,
Our sweet fate.

Welcome.
I’ve been expecting you!
