Newness of spring’s manifestation,
efflorescing motifs of flowery guile,
views of the gregarious vernal rev,
eviscerating the macabre haste of time
rapidly flittering as orange eye-thunder...
Enlaced halcyon trees to ponder in a birdy glee
No longer barren, they sing a gasconade silken
Oh robin on your perch precarious, stay still so!
Under the preeminent flurry of you,
glowing petals snow my gazing...
How fast your breast flashes by my lost breath

We claim to love
but foolish pride swallows apologies
wrecks reconciliation and forgoes forgiveness
rendering sweetness bitter
it is an emotional hoarder
an insatiable sin
incessantly collecting resentment
commoditizing the priceless
bankrupting unity and burning optimism to ashes
it is an assassin’s bullet shattering the windows to the soul
it is a death kiss
pernicious and ubiquitous
convinced of its infallibility and yet
the ego is a manifold deception
a blindfold masquerading an x-ray
high octane recklessness eviscerating progress
it is arrogance mimicking affirmation
lending mystery to the vacuous
self-centered gibberish
rippling into infinity
and stripping love of its gist
it is delusions of grandeur
parading naked through town square
and fooling the fool alone

BIRTH OF A POEM
Some poems feel like old friends
Not seen for a long while
When they appear as if from nowhere
At just the right time,
Familiar, effortless, patiently waiting
To be called into my company again,
The words on their lips, the lines on their faces
Need only be transcribed on to paper.
It seems these poems were already formed inside me
Like a unknown pregnancy
Grown from seeds of ideas long ago
Gestating with life’s experiences over the years -
The heat of passioned anger long forgotten,
The eviscerating cold of isolation, now thawed,
Moulded them to be born at just the right time -
They are the image of me.

to start, eviscerating her muse
cut her up and analyze her
throw her heart into tea leaves
meat her mind and so dissect her
her depth is unfathomable
enigmatic as an ancient nation
was she down in the consumables
drinking deep the Muses libation
entrails lain out in between
what came into her head
what she inspires, what she means
how good is she in bed
what was meant of point of view
each to glean from field of meaning
seeds of inspiration equal to
what was meant and what was seeming

his depth is unfathomable
enigmatic as an ancient nation
was he down in the consumables
drinking deep the Muses libation
entrails lain out in between
what came into his head
what he inspires, what he means
how good is he in bed
what was meant of point of view
each to glean from field of meaning
seeds of inspiration equal to
