The worm of truth shimmers
Wriggles evasively
Hides inexplicably
In among sentences.
Seems to withdraw from
Honest inquiry
Dates of expiry
Desperate pleas.
We wish it Godspeed
As reason it chases
In the strangest of places
Where trust fears to follow.
A worm for a snake
Is an easy mistake.
Here's hoping deception
Won't impede truth's reception!

He wakes up with a full work up of what he is going to write.
“I am going to write a novel,” he tells everyone he meets that day.
There are many eye rolls, but none of them are his. He happily begins….
When sleep evasively denies
and slumber slips from tired eyes
I think upon your fair facade
and quietly I thank my God
For blessings of thy tender lips
which oft I think upon and drift,
Down into dreams so softly kissed
By you my love
The Birds and the Bees
A “Closely-Knit” Trio
The macho
He-man
Entered the
Bar to
Inspect the local female population
Red-
Dressed,
Sultry “ladies” sat
And sipped wine
Not giving him one glance
Drawing closer
To a trio of
High-heeled
Enticing “women”
Big Joe tried to
Engage one in conversation
Evasively she lit a cigar and said,
“Sorry, but our threesome suits us just fine”
