After the blasts of winter
Spring has come once again,
To clad the trees with leaves
To adorn empty spaces in blooms delight
To drown the lands in birds’ songs
To bring joy and cheer to uncounted hearts
I gaze upon the charming vistas around
This is the post hibernation phase
Life has sprung back with vigor
The songsters sing lulling melodies
In valleys, their songs euphoniously ring
Filling every heart with joy

Mellifluous her soothing voice
Each word sugar-coated
Like sweet honeyed candy
Luscious and mellow
In her gentle dulcet tones
Flowing sweetly and melodiously
Lyrically euphoniously
Unlike his loud flamboyant tones
Oh such vociferous sounds emit
Until he heard her mellow words
Smoothly ~ gently her voice doth calm

Sunlit bright daydreams morph into solstice
Nature yields bounty to chill darkening hours
Clear night sky visions whisper of justice
Sunlit bright daydreams morph into solstice
Siring still patience serene preying mantis
Wisdom’s maturity bestowed empowers
Sunlit bright daydreams morph into solstice
Nature yields bounty to chill darkening hours.
