One glorious, sun-drenched, thirsty December day,
I sat, numbed with the agedness of a visitor, and
Fumed eloquently with joy for the benefit of the
Seine – the ointment of Paris.
Somewhere along the gritty line laid bare by sere weeds
Of winter,
A restless tranter eulogised:
“Ce est Paris!”
From the whistling, grating metro to the navel of
Elevated Eiffel, the tall, metallic maiden,
I saw frantic beauty.
I inhaled the peace of the atrium, sighting
Our Dame....
“Ce est Paris!”
The voice, girly, and with the earnestness
Of chivalrous youth, came again, cold and soft,
Just the way of a sprightly winter.
Turning, I saw Paris in full nakedness of her beauty, like
A priceless fresco hanging from the sky.
“Do you need company?” The tranter anglicised her French.
In one gulp I swallowed the pride of Paris.
“Hmmm!” I grunted, wincing loudly from brio,
Counting my woes should I plod away to the red light areas,
“Give me Shakespeare and Company”.

I'm doing my best, at what I can, I've absorbed some
Life from boy to man, uncertain at times, now i find
Times are uncertain..' Much fear and denial while some
Are tearing the curtains.' The established fear-mongers
Peddle; the lies, same as before, so much sympathy? homilys
DIsguise; and furore.' A main threat is something will be taken away'
As such is attempted, by night and by day you recieve your
Matter and always you pay, as the object decreases its value
But hey.! When you're all done chasing, and storing; adoring' all such
You in turn; will be offered as goods, pretty much! You'll be stored up
And cleaned up, and boxed up, for ill or for good? you get eulogised
Lionized, maybe buried at sea.? Or feted then cremated?
Or a diamond could be.? Its all human mullarky, from the
Start to the end, while someones always paying, Its death and Taxes my freind !

Overlap of melancholy breezes,lips mumble
In maze of complex routes, body bumble
Dark souls shaking head in wonderment
behind hedge
Frivously pushing themselves over
the edge
Joy instants sprouted from tiny buds
Pure shrouds dirtied in drizzling muds
Outpouring emotions from wearily wrecked
root
Full moon bride shied at owls
hoot
Of all the metaphors that assisted a
rhyme
Some scream about a star, too bright to
shine
eulogised as magnimonious warrior
flawless
First sun ray at dawn after night
undress
Evocative syllables for the enticing
sagacity
Trove of rare gem stones and his remark of
audicity

Funny
Sorry
No
One of the saddest of life's
ironies is this
That how a person when alive
Who not a single good could
thing could be reported of
Is now in death being eulogised
about
By the very same people he
was treated by with contempt
and as an enemy
Bearing in mind they never actually
knew him
But in fact choose rather
to consort against him
Or even gave him the benifit of
the doubt
Funny
No
Both sorry and sad
Rest in Peace
Best Wishes
Kind Regards
To your grieving family
Because at the end of the day
A Wife has lost her husband
and now is a widdow
And her children
Are now without a father
And just remember
As an actress in jest once said
Im just a women standing in
front of a man telling her she
loves him
So does a crown and service
not slip when it comes to feeling
raw human emotion
Because surely there is no
defense to the heart against
bad news
Because when all is said and
done in death and loss
Are we not different but all
the same eventually at last

Like the rain they are
Wet! wet!! wet!!!
Filled with the pain of letting you go
Red like furnace they blaze
For the thoughts of you in another man's arms keep them awake overnight every blessed day
The same eyes your beauty has made happy
Is the same eyes your absence is brutally torturing
Making them swell without being eulogised
Like ogboju ode inu igbo irumole our memories daily hunt me
Sleepless nights at the admin basement
Unending laughter at the Library entrance
Hours of waiting and talking at Moremi basement
All have turned my reality and my company everywhere I go
Not just because you are my favourite reason for having sleepless nights
but because I can hardly do anything without thinking of you
