I am a eukaryotic cell with various organelles,
I am present in various shapes of stellate, spherical and knob threads.
Nucleus is my brain,
Which has karyolymph and a nuclear membrane.
Closer to it, lies the ER which spreads like a huge network,
And carries out its repair work.
Beside ER lies the flattened sacs of Golgi Bodies,
Which performs the job of storing and packing proteins.
Lysosomes are fearless protectors,
Who act upon the worn out cell parts acting as dispensers.
I gain all my power from the ATP molecules released by mitochondria,
The power house of every cell body.
This is how I am able to perform all life processes,
For I have my special jewels, my cell organelles.

Fungi, fungus, funguses thousand fold,
eukaryotic life kingdom of yeast and mold.
Ancient legends and myths from many times,
beginnings and ends through mulching slimes.
Egyptians sensed the connection in fungi to gods,
only Pharaohs allowed to have them as foods.
Consuming the fungi to become immortal static,
Mushroom stones in Mesoamerica enigmatic.
The Rig Veda describes the juice of Soma,
considered as precious liquid of stardust and earth aroma.
Indispensable in all worships and ritual,
similar to Greek deities of cognate ambrosia.
Consumed in Shamanic sessions to contact spirits of the dead,
fortifying long hunting trips an dreams thread.
Penicillin antibiotics against bacterial infection,
surviving the war with needed invention.
Psilocybin and psilocin magic shrooms,
DMT, acid blotters magic truffles booms.
Alice in wonderland and the philosopher’s stone,
introspective hallucination and psychosis throne.

Oh... how heartless I was to think.
Set up a fine dinner for a feast on that eve.
Foods and drinks were flooded everywhere.
Feels like bounties have no ending.
Can someone even think of people who's starving that night?
Sleeping in a sidewalks with a plastic on their hands.
Asking for a piece of grace that we can't even share.
Looking into our eyes, kept blinded of selfish thing.
Then morning comes and see what's left.
A ton of leftovers chilled on a shelf.
Inside is waiting a group of eukaryotic organisms.
Deadly hunger for a feast to be rotten.
Is it quite dumb to imagine?
Wasting a spoon of blessings each day..
I hope everyone has a wonderful year,
May each plates in banquette be filled of wasted grace.
