In the quagmire ooze of daily trudge,
where the mire of monotony
clings cold, congealed in sorrow,
it takes only a spark of inspiration,
to transform an ordinary morsel
into a shimmering taste of sheer joy.
Echoes that entices, suffices.
I carry my sample bag handy,
stocked with my pet peeves in reverse.
Tiny things that you take time
to notice, and create space for,
that bring gemstones of joy shining:
The smell of rain, with storm's first drops.
The wispy waft of coffee, freshly brewed.
A rare bird sighted or heard, out of season.
A few chords of a beloved song.
Warm socks from the dryer.
A wink, glace, a tiny half-backed smile.
First touch of warm hands.
Fresh bread from the oven.
Noticing my things I placed in extraordinary ways.
A doodle scribbled on my notepad
Inspiring word or phrases recorded.
Doing things at half-speed, to spool like honey.
In all these little ways on long days
these echoes entice, suffice.

Pleasure enflame through my entire being
This man, entices my lips to breathe,
Every moment we are touching.
His spell, his gaze, “they have enraptured me.”
And all I want is to give him a never ending kiss
For I have never experienced real love like this
Plus whenever he looks into my brown eyes
I always feel like I’m sitting on top of the skies
He's glued to my mind
And I crave him all the time
This man constantly put a smile on my face
And makes my heart beat fast
Like I’m running a race
I’m convinced that he had cast
A strong love spell on me
For I’m not the way I used to be
However; I love the new me now
Though he may have cast a spell on me somehow.

The moonlight entices
By Michelle Morris

The moonlight entices
The moonlight glows
When she's in darkness
The Moon is in her shadow
She is working with the Sun
They influence each other but never touch
Like lovers who are separated
By the Universe's brushstrokes
You can trust in yourself
You don't have to fight it
The moonlight is inspiring
She'll make you feel excited
Your enlightenment and wisdom
Your charming eccentricities
She reveals them all
Your delightful layers of personality
She reveals herself in time
Leads you to honour yourself each month
Her reminders are there to inspire
A blessing and a guidance
The moonlight entices
The moonlight glows
When she's in fullness
The Moon is in her knowing
She is working with Earth
They influence each other but never touch
Like friends who watch over each other
The Universe flows its truth
You can trust in yourself
Have faith and hope and focus
The moonlight is inspiring
She'll bless you every moment
