NOTES:Also known as American elodea, common elodea, anacharis, and Canada waterweed. Elodea provides habitat for many small aquatic animals, which fish and wildlife eat. Geese, ducks, and swans are particularly attracted to this plant. Elodea is an excellent oxygen producer and frequently used by fish to protect fry. In some places especially of Canada and USA they are considered nuisance. I don't think so. Its value is yet to be discovered. It produces slime in water and hence this Gel. we must find out its medicinal properties. I think the gel may be of use in cosmetics.

An Introduction To Science

Biologists observe the features,
Of fungi, germs and plants and creatures,
Of violent bangs there is no fear,
Except Exploding Elodea,
(You’ll need a syringe that’ll stick,
To perform this nifty trick)
How living things work, you will see,
When you learn Biology.

Chemists really love to natter,
About substances which make up matter,
And what those chemicals will do,
When other things are added too,
Or when the temperature changes,
Or we alter pressure ranges,
Recording everything they see,
That is known as Chemistry.

In Physics we will all explore,
How things move and so much more,
How stars and planets run their courses,
The interaction of matter and forces,
How the Universe came to be,
And what makes up the atomi,
Physicists find their delight,
From the very small to infinite.

Constant Vigilance

A plain but inviting bench
Old with chipped black paint
Yet brisk with an energy I long to caress.

Dancing flowers tall and bare surrounding the old sit-place
Flowing in the ever blowing wind
Weeds entangled in the exquisiteness I strive to accumulate.

Lush green leaves shift and then become still
As the slight breath of the angels ceases to come
And the bark beams up at me
Through bright eyes and with never ending nerve.

Downhill there is a creek, bubbling with anticipation
Fish of beautiful colors are trapped beneath the surface
With Elodea Canadensis crowding the bank.

Across the street, children running
With parents striving to reach the goals
That their children can on the play area
Watchfulness is the key ingredient.
