Premium MemberThe I Have It All Together Blues

That oh so never ever ending, wondrous egotistical mystery!
With others pretending they have their lives oh, so together over thee?

Spare me, obnoxious perfection soul pounders.
Whose joy in life,is to pity, moralize and besmirch others.

There you are, on your fake, egomaniacal throne!
Moralist divine, whose insidious throne should be overthrown.

Walk in another man or woman's shoes.
Before you beat your chest with that phoney," I have it all together," blues.

Trump Card

Can we let one single man
bring down a nation so strong
Every choice and decision he makes
is laced with deception and wrong

We will never have peace in America
with an egomaniacal, despot in place
This is America people, rise up
and return our nation to its grace

Not only is ugly on the rise every day,
but a wall is all he has on his mind
He wants what he wants, at any cost,
ways to defeat us, he will always find

Think of the little children, torn
from loving arms and kept in cells
Can they every recover from the agony
of a president's selfish, heinous hells

Death rides on his shoulder, devils
ride on horses with his likeness added
Expense accounts are hidden well
and always find themselves well padded

Economy is in jeopardy, can the poor
survive to find sustenance to keep alive
Some of us go to bed, hunger clawing
at our beings, will the weak and ill survive

Election time is when you need to stand
and mark another name on the ballot sheet
Be brave and smart America, do what's right
or I promise, the devil will rise again to greet

Premium MemberLawyers and Buzzards

My blood boils when I think I have yet
to meet a lawyer with a shred of dignity
one that's god-fearing and not immoral
heartless greedy or egomaniacal

It boggles my mind how anyone could
stoop so low to take advantage of the weak
and deliberately dry them out and
watch them grow old sick and wither away
at their weakest and most vulnerable

It ain’t rocket science…

Lawyers and buzzards what's more
unscrupulous and repulsive as they circle
playing their conniving ugly games
of gluttony abuse and power

I could never see myself
stooping so low knowing that one day
I'd have to face my Maker –
how do they sleep at night?

I'm not much for throwing
everyone in the same basket so…
I'll forget this scandalous disgraceful
travesty once it's over and done

One day this crazy outstanding
legal issue will finally be settled
when they run out of reasons
for delays and cheap empty promises

That’s when I'll let lawyers and buzzards
go on their merry way
saying… ‘Live and let live’ –
can't change the world in one fell swoop

Egomaniacal

I had visions of you today.
You were so very blue
and in need of sympathy.
Then,
as compassion rose inside me
I noticed that behind you,
looming proud, was your ego.

You were unaware-as you
spouted words of romance.
It circled 'round, stealing
quickly those beautiful words
from your lips.
You seemed not to be concerned
that it was about to devour you.

And so it did.

Consuming your words, it
continued down to your
barely beating heart.
Showing no mercy, it ate
that too and your chest was barren.
The consumption was long
and tedious as it searched
for the soul you spoke so lovingly of.

But, alas...it didn't exist.

And so it finished
the meal till there was
nothing left but you.
Raw
and tasteless.

And yeah...it was gruesome.
