Parmi La Chance

La confiance
Ma Belle
Tu te relève
Sâchant
Plus forte qu'avant
Coeur de guérisson
Tu avais bien raison
Ton coeur special
Comprendre Dieux est toujours capable
Bien oui, Le Bon Dieu y permet
Bienvenue à votre abris de sa paix
Éclatante, et maintenant ouvre
La lumière de son amour

Vie De Misere Terminer

Dieux reprend premier
Votre sourire
Est fait pour rire
Votre amusement
Sera mon vent
Qui nous apportes
Loins de nos portes
Chanson en tête
Merci ont fêtes
La vie de guérir
Des beaux avenirs
Vous le sachiez
Nous sommes pied à pied
Vous le voyez
Vous le croyez

                    Adagio Delight

Let's saunter slowly, into this sultry, star-blessed night.
Glimmering candle, on a fresh, white tablecloth, new.
We must have that daunting, Pacific Ocean view.
Oh, to dine is heaven with the man I so love.
As a rainbowed blessing from above!

I slip off my woven sandals, you do, too!
Our tanned feet sensually caressing.
Whilst we eat chicken, Cordon Bleu.
Mon. Dieux!

But, I, famished for your body, to be close to you.
My flaming addiction, which has no end.
That immortal discovering one June night,
We were far more than just good friends!

Most fiery, primive passions blossomed.
In our own, unique, personal love-fashions!
Come, let's discover love's force-field.
That continent and soul of each other.
In summers' star kissed moonlight!
Our homage to a lovers', Adagio Delight!

Marie Antoinette

Come little vixen queen and know this day
your time of rule has ended I do say.
Once you did reign in deed and sweet tongue so,
this my allegiance I no longer owe.
When we had no bread you said flippantly,
“ s’il vous plaît” let “hoi palloi” eat some cake.
“pour l’amour de dieux”, brief remark did rake
our souls with you responding puerilely
Your dome will roll soon by sharp Guillotine,
a retribution for dire rotting scene.
Admire your jewels, brightly how they do shine,
the stones are nice, some glow red, others green,
recline upon settee, enjoy your wine,
today could be last you will ever dine.

Madame Caillaux, Part 5 of 7

(The husband of Henriette is in a casino, playing
roulette, and not especially concerned about her
plight. The Hotel Dieux is a hospital alongside
Notre Dame Cathedral, in downtown Paris.)

5. Joseph Caillaux

When? The chips are down. This is a marriage,
this black and red. Rien ne va plus, he said!
Let's go! We came here in a horseless carriage,
tonight we'll have the sidewalk for a bed.

(My little joke.) What's that you say, mon vieux?
The Tax Bill? That's how politicians play it.
(This wheel will put me in the Hôtel Dieu!)
A private confidence -- you don't betray it.

A public face (it can't be otherwise)
is oftentimes at variance with the private.
But Calmette's type are sneakers, peekers, spies,
would wreck a man (and frequently contrive it!)

Mon brave, I'm not the man to fight a duel.
You risk your life, your health, or prosecution --
for what? You lose, you're dead. You win, you fuel
the anger of your foes. It's no solution.

She said she would. (I'll spin, and win for us!)
I've long since left off thinking of it. (Thus!)

Men of cloth
Men of faith
Against all evils, lost hopes
Choose the light and will of the gods

They stay
Where all others flea
They reflect upon lost causes
Yet give of heart and sweat to the poor

They are not brave hearts
They are but kind souls
To the last breathe
Weep not for these heroes

The village adores and praises
For kindness transcends religious teachings
To cure and heal is god's gift
And natures way of life eternal

Pascal’s wager in the minds of a few
As old men contemplate
Wildflowers who by the grace of god, receive the sun
So in fate, planted, they stay, they do not run

They are not the last or only
They are but the hope of what can be
They reflect the goodness we all desire
In love of mankind

Des hommes et des dieux, dedicated to the Trappist monks who lived in harmony with the largely Muslim population of Algeria, until seven of them were kidnapped and assassinated in 1996 during the Algerian Civil War.
