nefarious nel
diabolically wired
has had six husbands
i just discovered
five deaths were undetermined
should I be worried
policeman stared at note
this guy must be a moron
how could he help

Star shaped, seriously sassy
Nodding needle-nosed, light chassis
Capped column, looking conniving
Irregular yet interesting without striving
Decidedly diabolically dendrite-dated
Practically perfect, placidly plated
Snowflakes have six points or six sides
Depending on moisture in clouds and temp outside

Old Gooseberry gets in when you let your guard down
Handsome, diabolically friendly, he never shows a frown
Temps you with spirits, pills and elixirs to make you high
Some addicts think he is a splendiferous, wonderful guy.

I met a puzzle and conundrum.
His name is "Why Am I Becoming Dumb",
A diabolically a tough nut to crack,
both he and I are poised for attack.
I'm pretty sure I'll crack him, but
he thinks that it's I who is the nut.

Two irreconcilable differences
Two diabolically opposing forces
Two ultimate purposes
Two unequal forces
One offers free will and choice
The other is controlling and dictatorial
One rules by subtlety and hate
and operates in shadows and darkness
One rules by openness and love
and operates in the brightest of lights
One has all power and authority
The other has granted, limited power
One promotes life and liberty
The other offers bondage and death
One creates goodness and purpose
The other creates evil and confusion

I am an original she told us, I am messy and weird.
We had no actual knowledge, but believed her for a minute.
Within an hour we realized that her words were not sassy or saucy.
Her speech was not exciting or fun.
Even her dance moves were predictable.
She was rather bland, boring, banal.
Didn’t she say she was an original? We asked each other.
She had set herself up, but she had not lived up.
We expected so much more.
We expected zing, zest, enthusiasm, excitement,
Dazzling conversation, diabolically funny wit.
I am so creative! So wild! So wonderful! So free!
We did not discuss it, but we all wondered.
Is it possible for us all to miss it?
Or had she set herself up for a plunge?

The witches brew was diabolically familiar and slick.
The skulls of the cauldron were pouring magic on thick.
Our elixir is alive, we told those who would listen.
The gooey neon batter rapidly and readily was a'glisten.
She is stirring herself! Someone gasped in delight.
That eerie antique cauldron was alive with such might.
We are witches someone said, we should not be so frightened.
But we were, and our scary mood was not easily lightened.

There is one in every family.
Someone determined to be mad.
Not diabolically crazy or fun-loving or whimsically mad.
Angry, hateful, grousing, pouting mad.
Ours is named Louisa, and she is a professional.
She attempts to ruin every family dinner.
Storming off, yelling, screaming, sometimes hitting us on her way out.
It doesn’t matter, Grandpa says “as long as she leaves”.
But sometimes she comes back.
Climbs in the window so she can make another dramatic exit.
“Save your drama for your mama!” someone yells.
This always stirs her up, because her mama is dead.
If they forget to yell it, I do.
It would not seem like family without this.

The devil wears slim fit suits
Parading his perilous muscular body whose shape leads to a man's daughter's demise.
The devil wears pointy & shiny Raniera shoes, walking around posing a floppy step like a model, drawing attention from the female gaze in the neighbourhood !
The devil rocks permed hair, whose fancy waves present a false sophistication that breeds vile thoughts on a nun's biblical mind!
The devil wears sparkling studs on his ears, fancy jewellery all over his body lighting up ungodly desires in a maiden's little mind, till she loses herself!
So the next time you see him adorned in designer, Babie Gal, run for your life, flee like the harmattan for his spring leads all and sundry to a diabolically painful end.

The other kids were being snapped up in buckets taken to new homes.
The last one in the orphanage after a while, LeeAnn renamed herself.
I am queen of hearts, she said since her heart was red with grief.
She hid her sadness and her loneliness with acts of sheer meanness.
Nuns who ran the place began hiding when it was their turn to feed her.
She was unruly, nasty, hateful, and diabolically angry.
They did not understand that disappointment was the reason.
They did not recognize the easy signs of abject sadness.
She yelled “off with her head!” when one of them double crossed her.
If her food was late, her bedding was dirty, if her toenails were too long.
She saw the fear in their eyes, and she began to smile.
Being happy for the first time ever, now.
Confident in her status as Queen of Hearts.

I want to be that guy
that knows how to fix a transmission
or put a cabin together, with only an axe.
However, I am that guy
who wanders hardware stores
picking up Swiss Army knives
and dreaming of conquering nature
by whittling a thousand sticks,
or of constructing furniture
using only an awl and a spokeshave
not having a clue what they are
or do.
I am that guy
who hunts for the perfect tool box
for his Swiss Army Knife and Screwdriver,
who dreams of working in the garage
on a project so diabolically engineered
that it only requires
a Swiss Army knife and a screwdriver
to take it apart.
If society ever breaks down
I hope I will know
how to create a preppers kingdom
defended by boobytraps.
In any hardware store I can be seen
searching for boobytrap kits
traps that can be easily assembled
with a spokeshave and an awl.

Prancing through midnight mystery,
I called my soul to surrender
She laughed diabolically
Popped and hissed, turning gray
Then flashing orange and yellow again
Shocked at my daring side,
I began to dance, but stopped and crackled
In my failure to train myself to relinquish to anyone,
I pulled out the big sticks and began to spit and smack
Dancing and flashing, hissing and falling into myself.
Like a phoenix, my soul refused to be contained.
She whirled and twirled, turning herself into flames.
I watched in awe, as she began floating upward
I reinvent myself one hiss, pop and crackle at a time.

Whisker Fever had suffered a really horrible, angry, bad day.
He had not gotten the Kibble he wanted. His master was way.
Creature he’s left him with was too prissy and stuck-up to like.
He would have pedaled away if he had been left with a bike.
“Oh, Whiskers,” she cooed, in a saccharine voice, irritating him.
She had a tiny bit of oatmeal stuck firmly to her left chin.
“Where is my big boy?” she crooned, like she was a friend.
If he had an axe, he would have given her a swift happy end.
“Where are you Honey?” she asked in a voice meant to please.
He hid in the smallest cupboard, a place his body could barely squeeze.
Tonight when she was asleep, he had a diabolically wonderful plan.
He would dump all her fish, watch them twist in his hand.
Then he would gulp them up and spit out their heads.
Their eyes would go buggy showing their last moments of dread.
Whisker Fever was angry as all get up, and wanted to leave.
But then she brought home catnip, and renamed him King Steve.

A seriously sad seventh son of a soldier entered prime prejudicial puberty
With love and luxuriously liberal thoughts in his hyper hallucinating heart
He was set on dating a diabolically darling daughter of a serious celebrity
So should he go to Hollywood? Hail a bus? Hire a taxi? Where to start?
Where to start? Where to start?
