I have read a lot of books
Not sure what I remember of them
Written a lot of poetry
Yet cannot recite any of it
I have lived a lot of days
Faint memories entwined
In fluffed and softened lies
I cannot unentangle them
I have loved and been loved
Shared the pain and joy of both
Inhaled the breath of generations
Destined to remember me
I have grown old
And yet my mind resists
The weakness of my body
Calling forth its inner youth
I have read a lot of books
I have lived a lot of days
I have loved and been loved
I have grown old
And still I read
I write, I remember,
I love and am loved
For life demands it

Its might can contain you
But only for the moment that you care
They will challenge you
But only for how long they can stare
They will see if you will cross the line
That they have drawn in the sand
But if their claims have no moral value
The wind will erase the reason for their demand

Love takes pain—
it bleeds you long before it dries you out.
Only those with blood to spare survive it.
It takes so much to live through that bleeding.
A needle—
that’s all it takes.
Love finds an infinite number of them.
Like thorns beneath rose petals,
it hides in beauty and pierces without warning.
It won’t ever leave you alone
until it drains your blood completely.
Drop by drop—
like rain softening the earth
until it becomes mud,
until you can’t stand without sinking.
It finds cracks,
like sunlight through broken trees,
like water slipping into stone—
slow, persistent, ruthless.
It returns again and again,
a tide that knows where you’re weakest,
until it has everything it needs.
It knows you are vulnerable.
It watches how the wind bends you,
but never breaks you.
And somehow,
that vulnerability keeps you from giving up.
You carry your wounds like wildfire scars-
burned, but still breathing.
It takes someone true
to survive.

With no attachments
No possession nor expectations,
Love like you DON'T.
With no demands
No conditions nor Afflictions
Love like you DON'T.
Let them question your intentions
As you allow yourself to settle,
Like a river with no shore.
Like you don't care
Be like a dream,
That fades with no trace.
Ofcourse it's dangerous game
But will definitely let you know
If it is worth a stay,
It will let you know if it is safe to finally show.

I know a cat that is kind of a jokester she said
I knew he was serious by the jingling hat on his head
He shook those bells in our faces, demanding attention.
The way he needed attention defies comprehension.

Adjust and move four words for worth/
Aghast at July 4th I’ll power forward north /
Away from what’s been uncovered worse than I’ve ever been coerced
I devour and nourish as the demeanor looks gorgeous/
He could just be mean and cook gorges/
Or spree clean to book and flee out of storage in the mind/
Got to get adorned oranges to be hoarded all timed and primed/
For the reminiscence of my minutes to cinch/
Or seconds to seize as I inch through this decadence towards reverence/
I’ll replenish and diminish the sacks and lost yardage/
It’s 4th and 4 hence the past porridge to sift in historic pork/
Let’s get to the meat of the stork like underneath the bark of an oak/
I won’t sulk I’ll spark and soak in my marinade/
I stare and gaze with a glare and a glaze/
Going through phase after phase/
Placed in places where there are no choices just voices/
Demands, directions, reprimands and disciplinary actions for noises/
Their discrete dealings and doings drive dimwits down from poises/
Disillusioned durations debunk the punk directly to become disinfected from a disenchanted situation and he rejoices

The way Mark does his Campaign,
The way he drinks his champagne,
Manner of smiling at Pain
And what he says after Gain:
Nothing Black: all through ''White''!
Mark's smacked lips he would leave tight...
In Mark's Black life the Whites reign,
All his voiced demands foreign:
The movies he wished he'd seen,
The countries he dreamt he'd been:
In Mark's world "no worthy being";
The Black Girls he'd been seeing...
In Mark's life Black and White fight
And he reasons "White is right"
Black not as bright,neither light;
White arrives and it's Black's flight!
A boss of their Black Union
And White stuffs his arms pinion.

When times are dark and treachery reigns……
Evil people appear looking for glorious political fame.
They do everything to scare you, to-get your vote.
Their dishonesty, fiils our innocent souls with no hope.
Never mind them………..what about your family and you?
You may be responsible for putting them in office, now
what are you going to do?
How much more freedom and rights, are you so willing to lose?
Worse, three hundred Americans die each day from Fentanyl abuse!
We are all Americans with souls belonging only to God.
We must stop the insanity of burying our freedoms in the damp sod.
Above all…..we cannot become, God forbid, Cuba, the Second!
With tyranny, poverty for all, censorship and el presidente, who
spends our money, and is not to be questioned!

I don’t want to go down that road again
Remembering the whos hows what why and when
Each time it is the same
To go over it is such a drain
Will there ever again be a time
Just to sit and the rest be mine
And what will be the final word
A memory that demands to be heard.

Pathways often guide a promise,
To a novel, stated bliss.
Through barren fantasy and rich
Imagination . . . another's kiss.
Connections can be easily seen,
By these many threads to touch.
Though some will hold loose and gently,
Still others may need to clutch.
The contacts remain solitary, as they
Rise above to a nearby cloud.
Where the journey seems conclusive,
And where few are allowed.
While distance has no border,
That can be measured or met.
Great lengths between meters or miles,
Are too many if bet.

Your innate desires aren't demanded
with a man-child tantrum.
With commendable actions,
you command your needs gently.
Your force isn't launched upon my face,
but in place you open the door.
With eyes on the battlefield,
you yield your members to protect me.
Your height isn't guided by suppression;
I'm impressed with your helpful reach.
Your deep pitch isn't coupled with insults,
but lifted in benevolent leadership.
Willingly, I submit, in admiration
to an administration so wise.
My eyes esteem you with respect
for your strength reflects love.
My heart expands to meet your needs
without tyrannical demands.

Damned when we do, damned when we don’t,
the end works out the same
As love demands its pound of flesh
—the lion never tamed

Where are your words I need to feel okay.
But you seemed to have plenty earlier today.
Don’t I deserve a few of those my love?
Is it hard for you to say what’s in your heart?
I see one thing but you see another.
What can I do to make this better?
All I want is to feel loved in moments like this.
Why do I feel alone and being dismissed.
Now you want some time off to fix this.
I don’t want to argue just go do your thing.
Wondering now if this is something I deserve.
To all the love I am willing to give in return.
I love you so much and I’ll do whatever it takes.
I don’t blame you with what I feel I’ll take the pain.
I will prove to you that I am here to stay.
Even though you feel like running away.
