Varying tactics to deftest tongues,
I find it a futile taxing of tired lungs;
She hears finer tropes with disdain,
And loves lips that deal daring pain.
For fibs she sworn truths exchanged;
At once dazzled by such fiddly verbs
As paint fabled shades of gilded gold,
And cozy castles agleam in airy hubs.
When I say our love shall solidly dwell
Upon fidelity's firm bed of pure candor,
Smooth-tipped rivals juicier idioms tell
Of better treats and fairy Idylls grander.
To blur by guiles and gimmicks worse
Pledged long kiss on meadows green,
Feisty adversaries yet shameless vow
To garnish her with blues' fairest stars.
She in wind-chasing fantasies shuns
Her sincere love to fall for fizzy puns.

Economics will innately horde the conscience of us all.
Does a statistician serf not to fall?
Gauging the dawn they plod.
Searching for that convivial moment within the sod.
Gleefully giving homage to that eternal overcast.
Those compulsive appetites, will not allow the indigestion to pass.
A paradox does exist for the savant during these somber times.
Crowned with apathy they do vista us being waned.
Who is arid when the apex bends, or the deftest, for us to send?
This is not an infinite condition to deride.
Find that demagogue to gild the veil that hides.
Who is endowed to bring about a boon?
Must we be cynical, with sycophant tunes?
Who can obliterate the self consciousness of this business?
Will we be waxed, as if hereditary?
The truth is troublesome, and few are merry.

A Carpenter’s Lament
Oh wood, from sapling to a mighty oak
That earth would bring you to the fore
You fall unwilling to the woodman’s stroke
And then my hands submit you to the saw
Where once those soaring boughs reached to the sky
And creatures of the forest sought to rest
Lovers carved their names with passions’ sigh
The wind, a force, to put your strength to test
Caressed in hands, deftest with a tool
Your majesty is slowly stripped away
Into a chair, a table, seems so cruel
For our comfort that’s the price you pay
Though be the fashioned piece of great beauty
It be your former life, remains supreme to me

Through the night by candle glow
I stitch, patch, glue and sew
With deftest hands I repair the parts
And give new life to broken hearts
Jars of stardust, moonbeams glows
Angels feathers and fragrant Rose
Rainbows colours abound my store
With bottles of love ready to pour
Some come filled full of sadness
Drain them off and fill with happiness
And those that are full of sorrow
Stuff with hope for a new tomorrow
Those that come lacking of care
Fill with kindness, that they may share
And the childs heart that searches love
I fill with prayers from the lord above
The heart of a lover broken in two
The smallest of stitches and ksses true
Fill it with honey and beautiful dreams
Caress it with love and sentient themes
And those of the old that come to my care
I fill them with peace and memories to share
Those that come angry and so full of hate
I wash and scrub them and say they must wait
My work is nearly done as I start to yawn
My time is short if to deliver by dawn
The beating heart I replace whilst asleep
A kiss for your heart and away I shall creep
