Decipherable Poems

Too Much Sun In Luxor

Staring wide out from the past;
Never seen to blink.
Superior; nonchalent.
As kings and as gods.

Trace, as on a wall of air
Speech; decipherable.
As fades, fades, in front of each
Awe which silent nods.

"All of this rubbing of Time
As fierce these sands blow
Is, in defacing, blunt-clawed!
Bears Nile's hexopods".

A one pub village-the Cotswolds
The Totternhoe Chalk Stone
weathered, firm grey and brown co-mingled.
Corner edging buttressed.

The outskirts of hedgerows lined roads
Lawrence and the motor bike
in the sunlight until there was silence.

Set in the green grass
under the blue sky shadowed by clouds,
intermittent rain now cleared,
the Chalk Stone waits.

Grass plot surrounded by close in
green foliage, trees nurtured by the rain
next to the resting place where they have come.

Stones made of the same Totternhoe Chalk
once labelled, now weathered, indistinct names, dates
decipherable only in parish records.

Today the family gathers
to bring home to family
dust to dust and ashes to ashes.

Seeds of Malaise Cultural Materialism For Permissions

seeds of malaise cultural materialism for permissions
atrial, nothing functioned more than citizens' terms of right
values, possible domains of rivalry
defined, a phenomenal world of functional conditions
great as moaning Rome, livid
women are secured in natural churches rife
locally, rational and relational, religiously riotous
parties are luminous, phenomena explained physicians
permanently maimed, publicly
recognised more properly decipherable reasons
for determining domestic chains
of events differently referred what cunning
tricks warring crowds respect, believing
as needed transferred, predictably changed

Premium MemberMessages From My Body

My body confides in me
in grudging ways,

with little murmurs and signs,
each trying to get attention
without snapping its fingers in my face,

like faint, mysterious radio signals from (inner) outer space
that escape detection often,
comprehension always,

small aches that ghost through my body and
the already over-populated radar of my consciousness,
as if keen on being missed,

rashes like miniature night bloomers on the
vast landscapes of my limbs and torso,
origins unknown,

non-rashes, equally tiny, anonymous things,
that surface but don’t stay long enough
before sinking back into the realm of the forgotten,

eyelid twitching out a code decipherable by no man.

I receive frequent messages,
hinted, insinuated, encrypted.

My body has its own mind.

I’m trying to be a better reader.

Sonnet of Poetry

Sonnet of Poetry

All my thoughts are craving in so gently
Whether sonnet, rhyming, it flows boldly
Picket line of words is so picturesque
Library for epic with its index

Decipherable to relate its soul
Premature to judge but adorable
Luminary to every season rest
A gateway in romance to impart its zest

By its time and expanse it is boundless
Residence for poet and poetess
Admiring lenient style in their write
Originality pouring no trite

Poetry my getaway and refuge
To rest on your lap is such a prestige
