The earthquakes are felt,
Pandemic brings anxiousness,
Strong storms rock the world.
His days are numbered
A journey, fate is determined to take my Dad.
Old age, ( 94 ), stage four cancer makes me sad.
This came across the wires on Friday’s phone call.
My thoughts, bring to this reality, this may be all.
His last words, three thousand miles away, I hear.
They now become the grit for my greatest fear.
His face, his humour, his spirit will not be around
for my grandsons wedding, when I am in town.
I pray that the coming of this July,
tears do not cloud, make for a blue sky.
Shroud the essence behind my third eye,
filling my hours with tears, as I cry,
for the loss of my Father,
rising to meet his Mother.

Slowly crawling along searching for life's sustenance
no sense of urgency
no sense of future
Only living for today
leaving tomorrow's where they lie
basking in the heat of the sun
flapping your little effervescent wings
taking you where ever you want to go
Beware little friend
when the cold winds blow
and the sun slips farther away
movements will become more difficult
life will come to a crawl
no longer able to fly
we'll be frozen in time
Take it easy,take it hard
Take it inch by inch, take it by the yard
Get it,how you get it
Remember how you got it
And don't ever say you forgot it
Remember a word so misunderstood
Superstitions got you knocking on wood
Got you making the sign of the cross
Got you thinking your friends a jinx and that's why you loss
We forget the things that mean the most
And get side tracked by something a star post
Caught up in bull*****that don't matter
Far fetched dreams make your ego a mirror that's shore to shatter
Remember the first time you had a crush
The first time you drank like a lush
The first time you ever kissed
But more importantly the time with your family you missed
Memories are the things you shouldn't forget
Rather then saying pappa need a new pair of shoes when you lay your next bet
Forget not betting the opposing team
Cause win or lose you'll never fur full you dream
Wake up like god parted the sky's and hit you with a light beam
Remember what really counts
Family not dollar amounts
And I'm cool with that.
Past point of needin
believin in
all things to all folks
now honin on ownin
perfect not neglect
gifts like egg yolks
puree and saute
scramble and maybe
some salsa today
(ok, probly)
glad i've made friends with some
people not good what I am
but good what i'm not!
'cause we're all in it together.
Days are numbered!
Days of darkness without end
Madness scourge has come again
Numbers will be known and then
Warriors, white light will defend
Evil is an evil vile
nasty bitter constantly
Never let the beast beguile,
use you treat you wantonly
White of light do use it well,
Darkness can seduce you too,
Therein lie the fires of hell,
Dodge it sidestep it wants you
