Dauntlessness Poems | Examples

Isadora

She leaves footprints –
on the wet concrete of blinded doubts,
For she has carved lives - -
like graven images on the palms of her hands,
There is substance in her eyes,
fire in her soul,
zest in her spirit,
And her passion? –
She is anchor, rudder and dock, sail and compass,
Storms are her vanquished
for she kindles hope to enliven her faith,
Wars and Victories are her poems –
inked with blood, sweat and tears,
For she flames her faith –
with the winged cherubim and seraphim of prayers,
And in her steadfast stride,
barely noticeable are her hurts and pain,
She is wife and mother,
teacher and mentor,
support and pillar,
Give her a reason or none at all,
she is battle, she is warrior,
the Lord her Banner.
This fourth day of the second month –
she still writes her walk and talk,
With testimonies –
of unrelentless dauntlessness and dare,
She is that indomitable woman –
true to her name,
‘Nurturer and protector’ – Isadora

Dauntlessness

Notwithstanding, stars must be tall
To separate me from the waking-up of miles.
They glint when there’s no more light at all—
Drawing from my eyes; For on sky’s blackboard,
A p..m. set of chalks, rise in awe
To sketch, dreaming within a child’s hours—
Notwithstanding, stars must be tall
To separate me from the waking-up of miles.

Dauntless

It took every fiber in her being,
      Away from the horrific scene.
      To stood there,
She hopes the court will be fair.
Answer all these questions, when, why, how,
      Felt like an owl.
      Repeating herself,
When in her past they started to dwell.

      It happened so fast,
All she could remember was the blast.
Goliath was in front of the door,
Blocked her way, before she hit the floor.
She called on all her courage to face the ordeal.
Conjured David in her to appear

      Her dauntlessness grab the gun,
In a spun a new nightmare begun.
      The Headlines of the day.
Courageous was she, a valor received

Astonishing self-assured warrior.

Rough acts entail his mettle and intrepidity.

                             Idoneous healer, he uses dauntlessness.

Effervescent, impulsive optimist, he is a torchbearer.

Self-confident, he is socially skilled and insightful.

Premium MemberEnchantment of a Tower

Carve not a tower enclosing your heart
Allow our breaths to play, let warmth prevail
Sabers fling across moors searching the grail;
While armor of conquest tears us apart.

Unload all hardened marble in a barrow
How far one’s dauntlessness, how near one’s pride
A hallway of song waits as laughter abides
When ripened moment calls for love to glow.

In silken cape, you enchant the regal court
Yet lonely the man commanding alone;
Instead, let us scurry where moonlight roams
With dewdrops on our lips as we cavort.

Harken, weigh not the power you behold
A jester amuses only for a while;
But splendor of oneness lasts to beguile
Come, nurture our castle before life folds.

Premium MemberGod Has Made You Over

Forget about the past
God has changed you
Move on
He has made you a new person now
Don’t look back
Compare
Hesitant
Take charge of who you are
Now
Who God called you
The person He created you to be
Who he molds, trains, corrects
Reformed, rectified, redeemed
Stepping out
Moving forward
Advance
Don’t let your fears hold you back
Take courage
Bravery, dauntlessness, gutsiness
To be number one
Be daring, bold, adventurous
Greathearted, fearless, valorous
Who are you
But who God has made over?
