The Happy Flamingo

I gave my pink feathers a good old shake, and
Combed my hair with a short plastic rake
I picked up a cake mix I was going to make
Stirred it up, and put it in the oven to bake
Today I was going to my Silver Sisters
And I hoped we’d play twister
But I wanted to look my best, so
I went to the closet and took out a purple vest
I looked in the mirror to get a good view
Decided my lipstick was not the right hue
What color to use, I hadn’t a clue
I decided pink earrings would have to do
Oh, my earrings
They bobble
Whenever I hobbled
So, I stood on one leg
And called my friend Peg
We went to the meeting together

The Shopper

I am a shopper
That’s what I claim to be
Just look in my closet
And you’ll have to agree
Penney’s, Kohl’s and TJMaxx
Oh, how I wish you didn’t charge tax
You have the power to make my day
I search for a bargain
And never dismay
When I find an aisle
With a good array
I smile and say hooray
This is the way
I like to spend my day

Who's In the Mirror

I looked in the mirror,
And what did I see?
There was an old lady
Looking at me
Who are you?
I wanted to know.
Get out of my mirror
Before we have a row.
I'm you silly woman.
The old lady said.
Now finish taking off
Your makeup, and
Get into bed.

The Pledge

A promise spoken
Must be kept
And time is not an issue
For
Invisible barriers
Separate an era
And in moments rare
Unseen forces
Intervene
For redemption
Of the pledge

Diamonds

I sit. Silence envelopes me and I want to scream to quiet it.
Time, is it fleeting or standing still? I can’t tell.
Escape is in the imagination and I will mine to commence.
I am dancing…flashes of red as I swirl to the beat.
I feel the heat as the music pulsates through me.
Faster and faster, blending the colors and sounds into one, then like a vapor it’s gone.
I stand facing the ocean. Water nips at my toes, its coolness bleeds into me.
I look at its vastness, and feel small.
I wonder what secrets lie within. Should I call it morgue or treasure house…perhaps a fishbowl of the living? The waters are murky, death black, but wait, sunlight has arrived. White, dazzling, I cup my hand to shade my eye so I can view its intensity. A million diamonds dance upon the blackness and I smile.

A Glimpse

As I stood praying in church one day
The Holy Spirit took me away
In spirit
To a place that overwhelmed my senses with
Love
Absolute, undeniable love
I wanted to drown in it, stay in it
This place where I felt such peace
But I returned back to my seat
In spirit
A glimpse of heaven this must be
A beautiful gift that was given to me
I know now, when my time has come
To leave this earthly realm
A treasure lies behind the veil
For all eternity
And I look forward to that day
So, do not weep for me
Rejoice my loved ones
And believe
One day you will be with me

Time

Time

Who can explain love
When two souls entwine
Does time diminish it or does it survive
So patiently waiting as time slips away
Life journey is fading
So, what do you say?
Do we play by the rules or say rules be damned?
Time is a fleeting, lets have what we can

The Hour Is Late

THE HOUR IS LATE

The earth is old
and the hour is late
Armageddon lay at the gate

The Prince of Darkness
the fallen one, makes his move
the earth to run

The beast emerging,
the Babylonian whore
the Common Market is at the door

The mark he gives, and all will take
except the believers
and those he hates

Tribulation to mankind,
sights unknown.
Signs in the heavens
and death unfolds

Clothed in lies, a peacemaker he portrays.
For three and a half years
things might look ok

Gods 2 prophets and the 144,000 Jews
do their best to point truth out to you

The martyrs’ blood flows ever deep
True to Christ
their faith they keep

A Deceased Dream

A Deceased Dream

I wanted to bury a dream of mine
It had lived in my mind for a very long time
The dream seemed real,
At least to me
It held my hopes, the joys that I thought would be
I mourned for it, this dream of mine
I thought of it all of the time
But who would come to the service?
I had to think,
It came to me as quick as a blink
Why his four brothers, I had no doubt
I’d met them all over the years
Mr. Regret, accompanied by Self-Pity, Depression and Anger
The only problem was, once there
They didn’t want to leave
I had another thought that I liked better
I’d breath my dream in a bright yellow balloon
Then knot the bottom
And let it go
Perhaps my dream would come true
For whoever found my yellow balloon
