That's The Way The Cookie Crumbles

Why do we do the things we do
of all the everything under the sun
why do all those crazy things can’t ever be undone
it's beyond belief if it's not one thing it's another
between you and me don't know why I bother
sometimes we slip stumble and fall
trip tumble and fumble the ball
that's the way the cookie crumbles
why do we say the things we say
when there's everything else instead
why use such stupid words can’t ever be unsaid
until you go out on a limb you’ll never know the view
it's nice from far but far from nice
true from far yet oh so far from true
when thunder rumbles here comes the rain
no umbrella soaking wet again
that's the way the cookie crumbles
why do we choose the things we do
with all the everything else to choose
why decide on pointless wrongs can't ever hope to use
it's beyond belief if it's not one thing then it's another
and sometimes it's both why do I even bother
be it ever-so humble as if that's not all
give it the gas and the car will stall
hey that's the way the cookie crumbles

Premium MemberThat Is How the Cookie Crumbles

The baker had a busy day,
Making pies, cakes and bread
He was hot and bothered
And was looking forward
To rest his weary head.
He made some gingerbread men
And put them on a tray
He switched on the oven
And cleared his implements away

The cookies smelled delicious,
Good enough to eat
No one was suspicious
Of the effects of that oven's heat
Eventually, the gingerbread men were done,
The baker examined them
Every single one
Some looked perfect
Just as they should
Some were an ugly shape
That was not good.

Some too soft
Others were brittle
Some too brown
And some too little.
The poor weary baker
Felt very sad
As he looked at the biscuit tray
He was upset and mad
Because he did not like to waste

Any imperfect biscuits, cake or bread
They had the same taste
So he crumbled up
The disfigured biscuits instead.
As the workworn baker put his hat on the shelf
At the end of a long day
The perfect gingerbread man mumbled
That is how the cookie crumbles

Crumbles

CRUMBLES
Crumbles of soil provide caverns
For free-flowing water,
Carry food to roots
Of hungry plants.
Crumbles of hate provide caverns
For cruel-growing moods,
Carry distress to hearts
Of suffering souls.
Crumbles of kindness provide caverns
For love-knowing hearts,
Carry comfort to all
Of those who understand.

Love At Last Crumbles

Love, at last, I'm humbled!
elated through her gracious smile
that radiates and dominates from miles apart,
at the apex of it all I'm lost with hope to get another smile.

As every day goes by
my heart flutters and yearns for you
your beautiful smile brought great mystery.

Life has indeed humbled me.
my love is lost
my path is not certain,
I'm but a .....

I am heartbroken

How It Crumbles

A couple of ruins leave the cathedrals
nave and portico;
it is always molting season,
mice and beetles help
they nibble and gnaw,
wind-laborer’s, labor,
their whiplash backs bent,
to lever slates and all things loosened.

The sanctified, they guard their stony hearts
but the edges were made to crumble,
made to be returned to rubble.

The two twined ruins
exiting these ancient piles
were created to be spans and transits
for the upliftment of saintly figures,
no one will miss them, yet their
plinths, their buttresses
their embossments
until recently
held a small alcove heavenwards
a niche, that will probably
lose its faith soon,
toppling one year at a time
into an agnostic downfall.

The two ruins are so disfigured
as to be nothing at all,
but they are moving in mysterious ways
to where a tireless worker
will help them rise again,

but of course dust will stir up dust,
the mice and the beetles
will continue
to nibble and gnaw, however
the Maker will be ready
once more
to return dust to cathedrals.

Premium MemberThe Bastion Crumbles

As we be steered inexorably
towards reality of our being
the illusions we held on to
slowly begin disintegrating

Even though we do recognise
all manifestation as ephemeral
old habits rooted in stagnation
causes contraction agitational

Attachments begetting clinging
hoping to dwell longer in illusion
a tale of suffering self inflicted
resolved in stillness of meditation

Even as the pendulum swings
flow of our attention rudderless
we may centre our presence
tranquil in vibrant blissfulness

All we do is to remain in surrender
moment by moment in the flow
letting go of each life offering
in humble silence & stillness slow

The Wall Around My Heart Crumbles

The wall around my heart
Slowly began to crumble
Like the Berlin Wall
Of my ancestry.
I kept my steady pace
Upon the rusty leaf strewn dike
Letting the scents of autumn
Linger upon me.
As the flooded cranberry fields
Came into view
Surrounding the out buildings
Like a miniature lake,
The canada geese glide swiftly
Upon its mirror image.
I began to love myself
As the devine being I am,
To open my heart
To the love within me
Surrounded by light,
Autumn colours and scents,
And the beauty of nature around me.

When the Cookie Crumbles

When the cookie crumbles
And everything goes wrong
It’s time to make some changes
And sing another song

Just lift yourself backup
And dust yourself down
Watching all those cares
Just falling to the ground

It maybe crunch time
You’ve made a new choice
Now just listen very carefully
To your still inner voice

Because when the music playing
And you’re not in tune
It might be telling you something
Something special waiting for you

So when the cookie crumbles
And it’s time to move along
Don’t be scared of the future
Just sing a brand new song

That's the Way the Cookie Crumbles

Jungles like company,

 both parents want custody,

 the elderly needs an accompany,

 I am reluctantly,

 withering away in the upcountry.

 Snow burns my throat,

I use up a lot of time on my remote,

I know I have someone to devote.

 All this conflict ,

 will predict,

a passage way through the jungle,

a nice person for you to stumble,

 across.

 Remember people practice daily loss

 of emotion or ambition;

 a burned out ignition;

 or a life-depending mission.

When Life Crumbles

When Life Crumbles

when your life crumbles
an you're all alone
you're standing naked to the bone
what would you do

when your life falls apart
and you’re standing on quicksand
what do you do

when everything you worked for
blows away in the wind
what would you do

are you strong enough within
to get it together
and start all over again

do you believe in you
like God wants you too

life can change on a flip of a dime
there are no guarantees in life
it's between you and human strife
nothing replaces a faith within
you must believe in you
that’s the only thing that will get you through

All Crumbles To Pieces

Tho, they sharpen their claws and their teeth
to build their Tower of Babel , on sand beneathe
as they boast their vanities insane
it will still all crumble to pieces one day!
