Portrait
Through shades of life in subtle hues
Faded eyes invite imbedded memories,
Half hidden behind a worn visage
Where dreams still dance to celebrate a milestone,
Entwined in lost days of once up a time times,
Layered serene moments of rest invoking
A tranquil touch overlaid with the heavenly;
Quiet now the hands on life’s tiller,
Noise of the wounded spirit
Blotted out by wisdom gained in tinted ashen turmoil,
The pilgrim sits, interludes dance in crosshatch
Embraced, abiding in sacred values beckoning
A captured chroma in still life subtle serenity
Blended reveries reveal the pale intimate,
Stories stored in the compressed soul,
As deep lines of passing years soften – fade away –
In color palettes mixed with ochre joy and slate tears
Waiting for the next breath filled with treasures,
Softened intensities to burst through grey tones -
The soul’s pastel breath captured – released - unchained.

FALLING IN LOVE
drew a crosshatch smile on albino —
ghostly, it smirked deliciously.
its orange flesh and seeds rent.
a lover’s pie baking —
sensual weapon.
birthstones become
the pumpkin’s
opal
eyes.

Life is comprised of only moments
each its own particular delight
living, tending. losing oneself
believing and sharing
day, night
Life
time, love, and anger: one emotion
pain, joy in these walls
falling, spiraling without knowing
time, love, anger
one falls
Moments that coincide effortlessly together
to breathe fresh air
feeling it in
letting go,
again.
Blind to the next I will discover
Confined to this swollen bed under tightly cover
Crosshatch pattern fabric, like a tapestry
woven expression of the day
artwork collage: pieces placed
connecting time space
purposeful cause.
And
Moment to next moment
dusk to dawn
continuously along

out side here floating in wisp
reaching into aimless futility
holding fast to free falling tendrils
flailing in crosshatch swooping loops
melting like youthful memories
of dreams of yesterday that fester away to
yellow pollen clouds of disappearing dust
twisting into dark eternity
breaking concentration
shattering decisiveness
To catch your freely flying fears and comfort them
To soft caress your chill soft skin in sudden flowing warmth
Hold you close against the cold of ever waiting dark
This ever twisting wisp of nether
ever tries to loose my tether
as I reach in one more try
To touch your feelings
calm your soul
and make you whole
to soar and fly
