Much ado

About nothing..

The much ado

Is the stage play

Life appearing

On a stage..

Nothing appearing

As the characters on

No stage at all..

Yet we on the stage

Seeking escape from

Tragi-comic scripts

Seeking desperately

For Nothing

Appearing as

Much ado...

More Precious Than Gold

The script of experience,
endorsing our wills
banking our choices,
paying our bills

Crediting our memory
for what lies ahead
debentures of faith
the black and the red

A ledger retallied,
both columns in sync
the plus and the minus,
indelible ink

Its summary left open,
all errors erased
with loans to push forward
—new funding in place

I am sorry I can no longer respect your hue
Since you have succumbed to Q-Anon
Parroting most stupid conspiracy theories
Since the Trump train you jumped on
And adopted a jaundiced view of our history
Believing The Donald's outrageous lies
Crediting to him outlandish deeds
And planting false social media seeds.

I wonder what is happening in your brain
Has it become hardened against the truth
Are you with insurrectionists who rioted
Since jumping on the crazy Trump train?
I wish there was no red line between us
For I remember those wonderful days
When we used to laugh over a few drinks
Alas, no more since you changed your views.

Perhaps, in coming days it will be different
And we can become friends once more
Our country, our culture, our society
Will be a better place, that's for sure,
In the meantime I'll remember you kindly
And wish for you the very best
But I cannot respect the road you've taken
That has gotten us into this god-awful mess.

running the rapids
life jacket on fully tight
knuckles, fully white

white water rafting
I thought I would surely die
mates made me smile bright

sports-bars, fun, laughter
cowboy steak-out much later
bright time, what moonlight

karaoke, too
"The Funky Divas" were we three
fun and much laughter

my Arizona
spring training, the Oakland A's
those southwestern days

I Persist In Crediting

I persist in crediting....
That breastfeeding hatred and animosity
Could barely occasion war atrocity
Demolish houses and blameless lives reap
Petrify crestfallen minds and infants' poignant grief

That airplanes, tanks and other war toys
Could ravage, destroy and only thieve joys
Annihilate life and identities liquidate
Amplify aghast mortals and not emancipate

That peace stirring words could promote
Long-term stability and eschew portentous faults
Make ravage and hearts assault
Imprison sensible souls and ferocity halt

For any lesion would eventually heal
Come to medicate and revenge conceal
But that words of malediction linger
Boost hostility and ran our trigger

You may say these are mere fantasies
Engaging in a wild-goose chase
Like a mansion built upon sand
But could enmity our worries appease ?

Remember, all things considered,we are all housed in the same boat.

Book About Guernsey Isle

Book About Guernsey Isle

She was an excellent editor and explorer
Which is why we always will adore her
Going through books and then editing
After that to all authors properly crediting.

She had gone to Guernsey Isle one day
To see all of the many books on display
Several were about historical events
And German Occupation making no sense.

It was a lost cause from the beginning
Being so boisterous and always sinning
Each party continues on and never stops
Drinking much beer made out of hops.

Only thing considered to be contagious
Was Guernsey people being courageous
Putting up with each and every party
And Germans being healthy and hardy.

All the days are now over and done
Glad by Germans war was not won
Last thing they did was to rehearse
What must be done when you disperse.

Morning With Cat and Tree

He awakes
two full hours
later than usual.
Well his dreams
disturbed his sleep
several times just before dawn
and he awoke to a safe place
where everything gradually made sense.

And the cat came in
fell asleep on his legs.

Samuel is grateful to the cat
for crediting him with humanity,
believing that cats have
a way of honoring those
fundamentally good, at least not harmful.

Samuel is sorry to miss
the early morning hours.
The satisfying
part of the day will abruptly end
as sources of irritation soon
begin filtering through his life.

But the sun is gleaming in the Winter sky.
The trees seem supernaturally tall,
dark lines of the branches,
nude branches like bones
ooze upward and outward
through unsystematic pathways in space.

He wonders how the trees
choose the holes in space through which
the branches expand.
They are amoeba like,
protoplasm squirts up
through invisible narrow channels in the air.

Change of Heart

Change of Heart

Breezing through time I slipped through an hourglass.
Taking leaps and bounds galactic universes I foresaw.
Begged borrowed and even stolen each I came to unflaw.
Electronically transfered through many a looking glass.
Traveling through time crediting none of my free pass.
Tossing the first lot a token credited a balanced bylaw.
Needless to say, I have definitely had a change of heart.
From Sea to Sea and shining Stars,
A splt decision I did start!
I have had a big change of heart.
One now three shalt not depart!
Not here in my heart of hearts!
Here and now my spllt starts.

Year New

Shadowing the cliffside of 2006,
Rear against the zephyr,
Breathing lower wise upon my neck.
Need no act of visioning reverse.
What was good,
Still is one with I.
A curse,
There it lie,
Behind,
Having no use.
So,
What is old of saying,
Looking back,
Is miss understood.
Salty taste,
Leaving one stone cold,
Suitcase load of fears.
Heaven,
If so,
Your Love is on me,
Command Your angels,
Laying under my feet,
Bridge other place,
My destine await.
New Year,
2007,
Clever thoughts,
Glorifying You.
Carrying me on Your Shoulder.
And this will be seen,
In the writing of ink,
Crediting Thee,
By my own heart's figuretips-
